A Frustrating and Useless Experience

I had high hopes for Lightyear but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst financial services apps I’ve ever used. The functionality is completely unreliable—transactions fail without explanation, balances take forever to update, and the app crashes at the most inconvenient times. It’s as if the developers released an unfinished product and expected users to deal with the consequences.Customer service is even worse. If you run into an issue (which you will), don’t expect any meaningful assistance. Responses are slow, unhelpful, and often dismissive. Instead of resolving problems, they provide canned replies that don’t address the issue, making the entire experience even more frustrating.To top it off, the app seems overly restrictive in the most nonsensical ways. Simple actions like transferring money or verifying identity are subject to ridiculous roadblocks, making the whole service feel more like an obstacle course than a useful financial tool. It’s as if the app was designed to regulate users into frustration rather than provide any real convenience.Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. It is an absolute disaster.

I sent a message to Lightyear support about an account problem, but it's been 4 days now and they haven't answered. It's like customer support just doesn't exist!Honestly, imagine this: You've invested 100K Euro into stocks, and then a problem occurs, you can't access your account... but there's no customer support? That would be way too risky to invest in Lightyear. Because customer support is everything!Before you use Lightyear, seriously, think about their customer support. It's like it's non-existent!Feedback to you, Lightyear: You must invest in customer support! At least try to be more like Wise support, they actually respond!

Customer support is not supportive at all rather hostile and slow, at the end they just ban your account because why not. Very regulated and the campaigns they make are unclear and eligibility to receive something is even worse. If you want to onboard your family member they will simply cancel you and accuse you of duplicate accounts and misleading information even if the family member is 60,80,90 years old they simple don’t understand older people are incompetent with technology. Honestly if you’re looking for a good finance app use revolut or as estonian wise instead.
