Uber - Request a ride 4+

I have been a loyal customer of Uber in Malaysia (before it shutdown) and Australia as well. Simply, it eases my life. However, Uber in Egypt is the worst. Maps are not updated, car quality is terrible, and most importantly responsiveness by support staff is all computerized. Keywords from complaints are selected and ready responses are sent back to clients. No matter how many times you keep replying in the same conversation thread to get tailored information, you will be getting the same response. This means that customer complaints’ are not taken seriously and Egypt team is doing just bad. Uber is popular over here, I can’t imagine the number of transactions and the business cash flow. It seems like doing great. Management should just spend some money and pay enough attention on the updates and training the support staff.

Drivers often cancel the ride when they know that the payment is by credit card. In a single trip, 3 drivers canceled the ride after waiting for each of them for more than 10 minutes, leaving me waiting in the street. With no proper action from Uber side. Today I received a mail from Uber explaining how they use independent 3rd to screen drivers and cars, and they don’t want to hear honest opinions my reply to them was blocked. So I decided to post it here: I am sorry but this is either not correct or your independent 3rd party is not doing his job properly. all the cars are in a very bad condition, seat belts are very dirty and is not working in most of the cases. Some of the drivers are really aggressive, reckless, do not follow traffic rules, not customers oriented nor committed to service they are meant to provide, ..........

Today 16 June 2022 I had to use Uber as Careem application didn’t work, a totally impolite Uber driver took my order and arrived right in front of me then escaped, literally escaped, just drove away without a word. After waiting for him for almost 10 minutes on the street, then I had to wait for 5 more minutes for the second driver to arrive.
Unfortunately there is no option to rate Uber Zero stars.

The app is overall very useful and has great user experience my only issue with it is that Uber drivers can get away with with things like accepting a ride and then when not feeling like it asking you to cancel it and having to pay the cancellation fee and wasting your time as well as being disrespectful or having a crappy car and no one can do much to them apart from leaving a bad review, an uber support ticket button should be added for such behavior but again not all drivers do that and for the most part my experience is pretty positive.
