Frenetic Pace - Perfect Balance

I got this for my kid but it’s too difficult for him, then I got totally addicted to it for the last couple of weeks as a stress-buster between Skype for Business meetings. It’s fast-paced enough to be genuinely challenging as soon as you’re through the training levels, so there’s a little endorphin hit when you finally beat the level you’ve been stuck on for a day. Honestly, you have to go into a sort of trance sometimes to deliver the orders on time, and it’s a buzz.

At times it’s almost impossible until you’ve upgraded your kitchen equipment, which can take a lot of grinding on previous levels to save up the cash and jewels. But that’s part of its charm, and part of the hook of any game, really: the balance between frustration and achievement. You don’t get one without the other. And if it was too easy you’d complete the game within a day.

Maybe this is a weird comparison, but it made me think of Zelda Breath of the Wild: the soft-locks and barriers to progress have to be really well-calibrated so that you don’t just lose interest, and I think they’ve got the balance just right here, even if I’m currently going a little crazy waiting 6 hours for a bacon dish to be delivered. In conclusion: I’m embarrassed by how addicted I am to this game.

Want my money back

I bought this for my child too but it’s far to difficult I can manage with the fast pace and enjoy the challenge. I spent five quid for more diamonds to upgrade the kitchen etc but the annoying thing is sometimes when I complete a task the customers walk off and the screen is frozen, (not entirely because you can still cook stuff) but it will not exit from that screen and can take a day or too to un freeze, it’s so annoying and frustrating. I want my money back to be honest because What’s the point of keeping a game you can’t access when you want to. What a waste of time progressing through the game and what a waste of money.

It’s good but too many annoying ads

First of all there’s too many ads, and it randomly occurs out of nowhere. Also most of the time the x button isn’t even there so you are basically forced to watch the video. The game also glitches after every ad and kicks me off the game. When I watch a video to decrease 20 mins of the ad, ofcorse my game glitches, I get kicked off the app, and the 20 mins doesn’t even count. I would’ve given 2 stars but I’ve been generous and given 3. I know that this game has a lot of potential, but the game developers deffo need to fix these bugs, glitches, and moreover improve the game to make it more fun. Like it’s takes gold and diamonds to upgrade every item. Which is so bad, you should really do an option of where to pay more gold or just diamonds. This would deffo make the game much more playable and fun. I hope the game developers read this, acknowledge it and make the game better. But I must say in terms of gameplay of cooking and all that, the game is made really well.
