Anyone can do it with this app

I am using this app to train for my first 10K. The program increases your running length gradually and by splitting your timed runs with walking helps to build endurance, stamina and a belief you can run. I have repeated a couple of weeks to make sure I was comfortable running the length of time. Once you get to 5k the feeling of achievement and self belief gained is enough to spur you on to continue. On my way to complete a 10K. Can’t believe I am nearly running 10K. Would advise using another app alongside for distance, speed, calories burned etc as this is dependent on your running speed. I am not fast so find as the program progresses I need to run a couple of minutes longer to ensure I cover the intended distance. There are many other free apps to complement this app. I subscribe to the music as I can find a playlist that suits my speed and as I continue to train my speed will increase so new playlists. Found the music useful as when I run further I get more songs encouraging me to reach my next goal. All in all I rated this app 5 stars Good incremental achievable increases and most of all you too will become a runner 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A good free option

Whilst unpaid access to running apps is now getting more limited, this app doesn’t do such a bad job at all. The audio prompts are really helpful and although you can link it to only specific music services, you can still stream your own music in the background. I’ve just started week 6 and the progress is so gradual I’ve hardly noticed going from 90 seconds to 20 mins jogging so it’s really helped me get back on my feet. I’ve never finished a run feeling like I never want to run again!

However, to easily be able to keep on top of your progress you do need to pay. It would be far easier if I could check my watch to understand where I am in the run, how long left etc. There is a helpful Lock Screen but still awkward with gloves in winter months.

I haven’t tried the full version yet but so far it is exactly what I need and I will continue to use it.

Great - Says non-runner

I’m not a runner. Hate running, always have. But, as an overweight, unfit, male in my early fifties I hate that more, so downloaded this app as part of an effort to try and sort myself out.
At the moment on week 7. Started struggling to run for a minute and can now do 25. Really impressed by the progressive increase session by session and week by week, which is manageable and over the weeks really has enabled me to progress in a way that I genuinely didn’t think I’d be able to at the start.
Is it any better than other apps if the kind, no idea.
I’ve combined it with weight training and managing my diet to lose the pounds I wanted as well; but this has been a significant part in meeting my targets and sorting myself out after many years of neglecting myself. Give it a go.
