2024 TCS London Marathon 4+

Was using the app on virtual marathon to find at mile 9 it had stopped at mile 3. Had to restart and continue listening to the wrong commentary, and the SAME quiz questions as four years ago. I have same phone as for past two years when the app was fine. No clear instructions what to do if you notice the app has stopped tracking. Felt a bit of let down after a hard long run. Subsequently figured how to send in replacement time but this hasn’t been actioned yet guess that’s because there is a backlog of folk with same issue

Five of us did the My Way marathon together. We all pressed start at the same time and place and followed exactly the same route together. Our recorded distances started to differ right from the outset, and we all finished at different points! The first participant supposedly reached 26.2 miles a full three miles before the last of us - with everyone else being somewhere in between. Our other devices (Garmin and Apple) indicated that the last finisher was closest to 26.2 miles, with the first being well short. This throws all the results and the leaderboard into doubt!

For a race sponsored by technology company/consultancy surely they can put some effort into getting this right. The map didn’t load and the features are so badly thought through. Like not even being able to order runners in order of predicted finish time. The one saving grace was ghat it didn’t completely crash as in previous years and we could actually see the splits.
