The app doesn’t really communicate with my tumble dryer at all. it gives the impression of communication but actually just plays a little video of the tumble dry going round round, and a countdown timer that never updates in line with tumble driers actual progress. So far, the app has failed to show which program the tumble dryer is on ( at the moment. My bed linens program is showing as a down jacket on the app) nor the correct runtime left.
When trying to initiate a load of tumble drying from the app, I select program, but the app decides to revert back to a program of its deciding and then tell me that the tumble dryer is OFF. However, I’m stood in front of the tumble dryer I can see that it is most certainly ON. The online help suggests doing lots of things with routers, and the like. I can confirm that the signal is about as strong as it can be without actually plugging the Internet straight into the back of the tumble dryer.
All in all the app is actually hindering me using the tumble dryer and I’m beginning to regret not buying the £300 cheaper model that didn’t have app connectivity.

“Redefining smart living” to mean…something that’s not very smart at all. No remote control with the device and controlling everything in person! Another case of a product being sold on the basis it will connect to an app, with a huge company that can’t be bothered to invest enough to actually make the app work! Duh.
This app won’t even get past the first hurdle of connecting to the device, and I’ve followed every diagnostic I can find. I’ve already written to customer support (email mentioned in reviews) and they didn’t even pretend to have a solution. Instead they said that they know there’s a problem, but with no time line for a solution. Very not great. If you can’t make a workable app, include a remote! Has put me off buying AEG devices again
