App occasionally drops out

Generally I’m pleased with the app as it controls my 2 Mitsubishi units exactly as I have it set.
However, since updating to ios 14.1 the app occasionally closes itself shortly after opening and my ‘Scenes’ disappear! After five minutes or so I reopen the app and it’s back to normal.
It needs to be updated for the latest iOS

Ok when setup. App a bit flakey

It took a few attempts to setup my MHI ZSX air conditioners as the installers had hidden the module inside the air handler so couldn’t see the LED. And because the manual was VERY ambiguous about the setup process and the time it actually takes for the module to configure.

Once the hardware had been confirmed working (after pulling the modules out from inside the air conditioner) and had connected to the Wi-fi adding the air con system was easy. On the iPhone you scan the supplied barcode label and it will check the unit is connected and add it into the app.

Controls are pretty basic and in no way replicate the facilities on the IR remote supplied with the system but are enough to set the mode, temperature, fan speed and louvre position/swing.

One annoyance is that the app has a habit of just bombing out, needing to be restarted. It needs to be more robust and there needs to be more options depending on the model of air conditioner the module is connected to.

But it works and means I can control my AC units from anywhere, so can cool or heat my rooms before I get in!

Poor relation to Intesis

Given this is a clone of the IntesisHome app (which I use for other a/c units) it’s rubbish. Missing scheduling facilities & integration with IFTTT.
If you are looking to install new a/c make sure you specify the IntesisHome interface instead of this poor MHI imitation.
