Two recent issues -

I’ve been using this app for the last few months but my last 2 attempts have been problematic with the App seeming to hang.
I suspect this is an O2 network problem as they seem to have recently switched to 5G and there is no 5G connectivity in the street where I park.
Can you make the app display a message when there is no connectivity - this would save a lot of frustration and retries…

When I realised there was a connectivity issue I got out of the car and walked around until I could make a connection. I then continued to set up a session but not from the exact position I was actually parked at. Does this leave me open to receiving a parking ticket?

UPDATED MAY 2024 - and now it doesnt even open the multistory car park barriers i and others have reverted to pay as park - hopefully now we have a decent mayor for NYC he'll listen to representations
***UPDATED FEB 2024 - despite "working hard to fix sensors" it is just the same no one in their right mind is using it here and all are looking forward to NYC waking up and either getting it sorted or switching to Ringo **** This used to be good - but rather than scanning and leaving automatically, you have to enter the time you want AND the exact location otherwise if you park just a few yards away in a different street you will get a ticket even if the charge is the same - as has happened to several people ( admittedly sucessfully appealed to council but not for long). I know just pay for the time I want by card. Representations are being made by users and businesses to the NYCouncil to get this sorted and move to Ringo as is commonly used around the Leeds area I would think the same would be the case for Dundee

I have used this for several years in Harrogate, since just after it started. I have had several problems. Today’s problem was a parking fine of £50 half way through my session. My extension of the session mustn’t have been ‘live’ and was clearly not visible to the Civil Enforcement Officer at the time. My receipt from Appy shows the full time plus the extension time.
I contacted Support who replied with some advice and the disclaimer ‘Ultimately the council have discretion whether to apply the fine or not’!!!
Before I could reply, Support’s email disappeared from my inbox and deleted box. Was it withdrawn?
This is the most recent of several problems with the system.

Thank you for your comments, we understand your frustration with the situation however according to our system, You selected a different street than the one your vehicle was parked on, this meant the parking attendant was unable to validate your session, and as a result, why the PCN was issued.
