The app gives you the power to create new sounds by designing your own dream amplifier, letting you swap out tubes, preamps, power amps, transformers, tone stacks, cab, and microphones, all via a powerful and intuitive interface designed for your iPad. Whether you’re a classic rocker, metalhead, jazz player, bluesman or singer-songwriter - and whether you understand how amplifier electronics work or not - you’ll be dialing in killer and exclusive tones in a heartbeat.

BIAS AMP 2 Mobile adds a host of new features, including a powerful new user interface, new preamp and power amp modules, tubes, tone stacks, Blues and Bass amp packs, new Dynamic Tone Control, new speaker cabinet module with multi-mic capability and open/closed back cabinet emulation and much more. In addition to all of these amazing new features, we’ve also partnered with legendary Celestion to create brand new custom multi-mic speaker cabs using their famed impulse responses! (Additional preamp, power amp and cab models are available via in-app purchase)

BIAS AMP 2 Mobile seamlessly integrates with Positive Grid’s ToneCloud®, which is far more than a simple storage tank for your own custom tones - it’s an active community where thousands of guitarists upload, share and discuss tones. The ToneCloud® gives you access to thousands of custom amps created by artists, recording studios and guitarists like you, so you’ll never lack for sonic inspiration.

To take your tones to the next level, there are 9 full-featured reverbs in BIAS AMP 2 Mobile. These aren’t just simple two-knob reverbs either - they range from lush halls and chambers to intimate rooms, and each reverb has control of decay time, mix level, high and low cut filters, damping and dwell.

BIAS AMP 2 Mobile integrates seamlessly with Positive Grid's BIAS FX and JamUp guitar multi-effects apps for iPad, expanding BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a powerful and completely unified professional guitar system for live use, recording and jamming. Both JamUp and JamUp Pro include effects processors, Jam player, 8-track recorder and phrase sampler, tuner and metronome, effectively turning BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a recording studio and top-of-the-line practice utility.

BIAS AMP 2 Mobile also works with GarageBand and other audio apps using iOS’s Inter-App Audio and Audiobus. Whether you’re recording, writing songs or honing your chops—at home or on the road—BIAS products place unequaled tone at your fingertips.

good software for SOLID STATE sounds

it is a quality software, no doubt. Do the sims sound and feel like my tube amps? NO. They sound and feel like a solid state version of them. Not a bad thing, (although I would never use this instead of my tube amps, but you might, IF you don't have tube amps) : just what it is.

Excellent cab sims, which is where this type of software scores very high. But the source distortion can never sound and feel like tube distortion, for it is digital.

So good I sold my real Amp

I bought an iPad Pro solely for recording music and after seeing so many good reviews about this app I decided to try it, all I need to say is the reviews were right, this app is awesome!!

Worth every penny of the £9.99, best £9.99 I’ve ever spent.

I was dubious about whether it would work ok with Cubasis 2, I can confirm it does work ok with Cubasis 2 excellently but a bug in 1 of the apps occasionally causes it to lose connection... I don’t know which app is causing it but it’s easily bypassed by simply switching over to Bias Amp 2 then back to Cubasis and usually it refreshes the connection, it’s not very regular it’s very random but it happened a few times over 2 days? I tried to connect Bias Amp as an insert or send effect instead of routing the bus direct into the IAA bus input and it seemed to improve the issue, it’s most likely a ‘Steinberg Cubasis 2’ problem than a Bias Amp issue😏

5 stars from me👍

iOS 14 glitch

Loved this app, adored it in fact. Since iOS14 it just crashes. Reinstalled and no different. Can’t even try the iPhone version as purchases don’t cover both. I’m starting to find alternatives that are doing a great job though. Please fix this before I get settled elsewhere.

***Glitch fixed, rating up to 5*. Best amp sim available, bar none. 30yr guitar tech, this thing is amazing.
