Great app, customer service poor.

App has a few issues as highlighted in other review, but concept is great and I’m sure in time has huge potential.
Where things are lacking is when the end user has an issue. Response times are slow (3+ weeks to support email). This is a problem when the app is marketed to build motivation to walk your dog more regularly and then you hit a wall if the app locks out or your microchip won’t upload etc. not very motivating.
Like I say, app is good so would recommend as long as everything is working!, it’s just the customer service that is dreadful (even for something free, it’s poor!).
I have an outstanding issue logged 3 weeks ago, 3 follow up emails sent and still no reply. The issue is because the photo recognition won’t “accept” the microchip number. Easy fix, the app even tells you to email support in the event this happens. Yet I’m still waiting, and my chase emails are cluttering up the work queue.

Good idea but could be better UX

Anything that could help save a bit here and there is welcome, especially when it’s based on something you do anyway! However, it would be much better if it could link to Apple watch activity (maybe you can but I can’t see how!). It’s not great having to do both, and I’ve forgotten several times to start Biscuit. I’ve also forgotten to stop it on returning home and as a result it loses the whole walk, thus my target doesn’t get logged. Pretty annoying when I know I easily beat the target! Hopefully it’ll become habit the more I use it but if they can work out how to link it to existing fitness apps it would be way better.

Edit: thank you dev for the response, that’s great! Also, would be great if Iocation doesn’t have to be “Always On”, I don’t like this as it’s not necessary and should operate with only while using.

Edit: it appears you need to have your data on the entire walk In order for the walk to log. I don’t know why as it logs the distance without data and I don’t particularly want to use up all my data in this app. This needs to be looked at.

Developer Response ,

Hi HaHaBhog, Thank you for your feedback. We just wanted to let you know that we've just started to look into the possibility of integrating with human wearables - watch this space! Thanks, Team Biscuit

Great App with Great potential

My wife told me about biscuit and I had heard of others like it but so far biscuit is living up to expectations. Coincidently went into my local vets and found some leaflets and turns out a local had created! (Small world)

Anyway into the actual review:

The tracking system is nice and easy to use though I haven’t uploaded microchip data etc because of data protection - I never do until I trust the app and the tracking system. It records walks accurately and assigns points appropriately.

The point system is good, it isn’t an unachievable goal but also had a degree of difficulty in the way you can’t just get points Willy nilly which will hopefully aid in making this app a long term success.

There’s plenty of ways to spend you points and it seems they’ve done a great job marketing the app to sponsors and businesses, I’d love to see local deals based on area and more pet related deals but I know these things are difficult to negotiate!

As any good PM I have a suggestion;

Please add a sync option between fitness apps mainly Apple Health and/or Strava at first so that users don’t have to manually start different workout/walking apps. - it would go a long way in the user interface and user experience.

Otherwise great app.
