Description

Boringdon's Devonshire manor became crown property following the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII in 1539. The monarch later granted the property to his courtier Thomas Wriothesley, the Earl of Southampton, who was a royal favourite. Since then, Boringdon Hall has since had a rather extravagant makeover, giving this stately pile a serious air of perfection, with devotedly designed interiors, 42 sumptuous rooms and suites, three tantalising restaurants including the 3 AA Rosette fine dining Gallery Restaurant, and the Great Hall where lighter bites and afternoon tea is served.

On arrival, guests are greeted by the Boringdon Concierge who will assist with your luggage and take it to your room. We also offer a complimentary Valet Service to all our guests.

Gaia Spa is a purpose-built wellness spa set within the grounds of Boringdon, a completely unique space for relaxation and reconnecting with nature, designed with the need for complete wellbeing in mind.

Big smiles and waggy tails….

A wonderful experience awaits those fortunate enough to check in to the beautiful, historic and atmospheric Boringdon Hall.

The setting itself is elegant and enchanting and once inside the interiors are luxurious and homely. The staff are attentive but never intrusive. You get a sense that the whole place is very well managed. It doesn’t feel corporate and the hospitality is first rate.

I would describe Boringdon Hall as having an atmosphere of calm tranquility and happiness. We found it the perfect place to relax and recharge.

The Spa facilities look good but we didn’t have time to use them. We did however make use of the bar and restaurant. Supper was delicious and the bar itself makes for a very fine watering hole.

Another big plus for us is that the hotel is pet friendly. Our whippet, Arete, definitely approved. The hotel provided a dog bed and selection of quality dog treats.

We were very pleased with our room, which was spacious and overlooked the courtyard garden. There is a high standard of housekeeping throughout and quality products in the bathroom that smell divine. The bed was so comfortable and conducive to the best nights sleep.

What more can I say? This place really is the stuff that dreams are made of….

Our first visit.

Wow! What a place. May 2023 was our first time staying and using the facilities and we highly recommend Boringdon Hall. The staff were excellent the spa was first rate and the food, especially the newly award Michelin star Acleaf restaurant were all amazing. Will definitely be returning.
