Switch Off P-Lite!

After many wasted hours trying to use my P700 with this software and failing, I came across a note in a forum to SWITCH OFF THE PLITE on the printer. If it's on, iOS cannot see the printer, and no update works, even if you can see a disk mounted on yur desktop. In fact you should NOT see a disk mounted on your desktop. When you pres the PLITE button to turn off the indicator, iOS will scold you for unmounting a disk without ejecting. That means you're in business.

No Colour!

I have a Brother colour label printer VC-500W but this app only seems to have black and white on all of its designs and things you can add to labels. Whats the point in having a colour printer when the app for it only does black and white. I have a different app on my phone and that does colour so why doesn't this one. It is supposed to be supported by Brother but doesn't work.

I have since been in touch with both Brother and Apple. Brother were very confused as to why it was all in black and white and we tried together to see if it could be fixed. I deleted the App first then reloaded it, needless to say it didn't work and everything was in black and white again! But I did discover that the only way Apple would let me open the App was to download "Rosetta" before I was able to use the App. It was this that turned everything to black and white and that was the way it stayed. Applying any colour in the way suggested just gave a blanket single colour to the whole thing. Trying to select any single part of the design had no effect at all. I solved my problem by downloading the App suitable for mobile devices onto my iPad which accepted ot without any problem and I was able to use it successfully in colour. The only problem there was it took ages for the printer to actually connect with my iPad, but at least it works. Certainly doesn't on an Apple laptop, unless of course Apple can come up with the solution to restore the App to full colour printing.

Regarding the background, there is an option to select "colour" on the bottom left of the application screen when choosing to print.
For each object, there is an item to select "colour" in the bottom right.

A continuous 62mm roll that came in the box and nothing is wasted. The software has an auto cut function that trims labels to exactly the right size, so no need to worry about buying a specific size. Multiple fonts, clipart and label type ( Shipping, standard address, small address, etc) make Brother P-Touch a breeze to use. Recommended.
