Small steps

It’s very welcome to have this app and the small development steps at least come without having put a foot wrong. Compared to similar offerings from other financial institutions the C Hoare app is a generation behind, lacking functionality such as biometric login, ability to add new payees, card management and notifications. But at least you can be sure you’re not going to lose money / data by using it, which is a very positive start. I like it, I use it a lot and if this incarnation is more “view” than “transact” then so be it, as things are heading in the right direction.

As another reviewer says, it’s a good start, but it does lack some basic functionality that other banking apps have. Every time I want to send money to someone new I have to deposit the money to Monzo, and do it through them. Another thing would be the speed at which transactions get processed. Most card issuers now offer notifications ever time you spend money, and it’s instantaneous - on here it takes 10 or so minutes to update. Similarly over the weekend, my balance and available balance doesn’t update until Monday.Happy I now have it as it allows me to keep and eye out, but in comparison to the competition it is years behind.

This new app shows great promise. Looking forward to the promised added functionality. Disappointed there is no way to add your business banking accounts, this surely is a major oversight. Hope this functionality will be allowed in subsequent versions
