You can even add events—including their locations, contacts and recurring schedules—using natural language, and Calendars 5 does the rest. Its deep customisation options and easy editing features let you see and manage life the way you want to.
Not perfect, but probably the best there is
I've used this app for years (i was using it on a Palm Pilot long before the iPhone was invented!) because it's week-on-the-screen view its just perfect for the small screen. Despite some minor criticisms (but then, what app is actually perfect?) it remains the best calendar app I've ever used, since its original incarnation. The one little niggle that I have found consistently frustrating on the iPhone is the colour selection for appointments - there is a menu of vibrant colours to choose from, but the on screen the appointment actually shows on a completely washed out version of the chosen colour. Also, there is no choice for the text colour, only the background - so I can't choose, for example, red text on a bright yellow to make that appointment really stand out! You may judge for yourself how little there is wrong with this app when that's the worst thing I can say about it!

It’s the best
I’ve installed half a dozen calendar apps on my iPhone and this is the one I’ve kept and even paid for. It just displays my weekly (actually next 7 days with today always at the top) view just as I like it. I don’t want a Sunday or Monday display start as by the time I get to Sat It’s no good for future planning.
Plus you can set custom alerts, as many as you would want and when you want. Not just select two from a limited choice.
Another essential is the homepage widget. The standard iOS calendar clears the appointment for the widget AS SOON AS THE START TIME HAS PASSED. This is NOT good for me as if I put in an entry for an event like an outdoor agricultural show where you often DON’T all turn up at the start but people enter right up to the last hour THEN I WANT TO KEEP THE REMINDER IN THE WIDGET DISPLAY UNTIL THE EVENT HAS ENDED. iOS tells me no more events for the day! Not true!
