What’s New

Version 5.21.6

Happy holidays, friends!
As there’s magic in the air all over the place, we’ve managed to harness some of that magic for Calendars:
– Fixed the issue when it was impossible to log into Zoom from Calendars. Now you can!
– Eliminated the issue when the event creator with the Zoom link receives the email that the meeting was deleted.
– Finally! The Month preview shows all-day events while exporting or printing.

Thank you to everyone who got in touch with us at during this year.
From all of us at Readdle, have a safe, wonderful, and happy holiday season!
See you in 2022!

Editors’ Notes

Calendars 5 gives you scheduling superpowers. Sync to calendars and reminders in the cloud or on your device, then flick through your choice of convenient views, swiping within them for more detail. You can even add events—including their locations, contacts and recurring schedules—using natural language, and Calendars 5 does the rest. Its deep customisation options and easy editing features let you see and manage life the way you want to.

Much prefer to native calendar. Clearer display. Syncs with google a/c and other calendars i.e. School hols, F1 etc. You have to give it time to synchronise with the server after making an entry or edit (watch for the little 'wheel' at the top left) I don't like the Natural Language Input so have turned it off. Thank you 😊, however, I find the foursquare search engine VERY frustrating! It's very poor and can't find many places that have been able to find through google for years! Which means if you want to share an entry to meet at a pub, for example, you have to write the full address into the entry before sharing!! Please find a better search engine. Thanks

Was a life saver... now thinking of alternatives

The most important thing for me in a calendar is to have an OVERVIEW. This is something that remarkably few Calendar Apps out there seem to do very well, especially on an iPhone.

I feel like that Calendars 5, so far has been pretty good.

But another thing I loved about this App WAS the date and time input, which was the most intuitive and user friendly option I have encountered. Admittedly, if you are a lawyer who charges for every three minute slots, it had a slight weakness of only working in increments of 5 minutes.

Not being a lawyer who charges by the 3 minute slots, I find it pretty much inconceivable that anything in my life needs to be planned to a finer detail than 5 minutes.

Anyway - so they changed it and I’m really upset. They used the Native Apple scrolling thing which I also disliked.

I emailed them saying that they could have at least kept the previous functions in tact and give you the option. (Sorry)
I then asked them if I can downgrade to my beloved version. (No)
I then asked them if they are planning to reintegrate the previously fantastic date and time input back into future version.

They were pretty tight lipped.

If Readdle is planning to reintegrate its easy Inputting System, then I will wait it out. It would be worth it. Would be...

Still would love to know.
