App issue with reconnecting bank accounts

The functionality of the app is alright and I’ve not had issues with reconnecting my bank accounts before, however in the last month I’ve been receiving notifications reminding me to reconnect, but every time I go on the app to do so, it’s a blank loading page which stays on for ages. I’ve had to do it via browser, but delete the app beforehand since the browser redirects me to the app, and it becomes a vicious circle…

Good Afternoon, Many thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear you have experienced some issues with our Rent Tracking service. For security reasons our app will ask you to reconnect your bank every 90 days. In order to accurately track your rent we do require your bank to be connected via Open Banking to our app. Our apologises for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, The Canopy Team

Terrible experience

I set up my account to improve my credit score through the payment of my rent. It was easy to set up the account and all good at the beginning. Then the app did not recognise the right receiver of my monthly payments. The information was correct in the Rent Passport section but it was incorrectly being reported on the Rent Health Section. The app started to interpret that I was missing my payments. I reached out the customer service team in different occasions and did not provide me with a solution. I am afraid this has started to negatively affect my credit score. In addition, they are asking for my utility bills to prove my identity. I cannot provide with this information since I rent a room, and this was the main reason I installed this app. Alternatively, they asked me to send through email my bank statements and pay slip. Through regular email! Which is not secure at all! And you never know in which hands that information can get. I am terribly unsatisfied. Now I am not sure how can I delete my data and whether this has negatively affected my credit scare.

We're sorry to hear you have experienced some issues with our Rent Tracking service. Once you have stopped RentTracking we no longer send any data to credit referencing agencies. If you would like to delete your account with us. Please contact our customer service department who can assist in deleting your account.
