In Card Thief you move through a deck of cards as a stealthy thief. Sneak in the shadows, extinguish torches, pickpocket guards and steal valuable treasures without getting caught.
Card Thief, the official follow up to Tinytouchtales excellent dungeon crawler Card Crawl, attempts to condense the classic stealth genre into a solitaire style card game.
The game offers an accessible core gameplay with a deep layer of tactical planning and various risk reward mechanics on top. In 4 different heists you can test your skills against various enemy and trap types. By successfully completing heists you can unlock and upgrade 12 equipment cards each with a unique ability to improve your highscores.

Stealth fans, you’re in for a treat. We’re truly impressed by how intense it is to loot castles in this beautiful, solitaire-style game. Mastering just when to grab treasure and avoid guards takes a while, so doing it right feels terrific. Fun fact: Tinytouchtales cites the game Thief: The Dark Project as a key inspiration—and they really did capture the vibe of that classic sneak-fest.
1 stars are nonsense. Read this.
I made this 4 stars just because you might read it, given the strange divide of 1star and 5star reviews here.
Firstly, I want to say that I’ve played Card Crawl, Card Thief, and Miracle Merchant... (same developer) and I would rank them in that order, with MM being a big jump away from Card Thief, and Card Thief being only a small hop away from Card Crawl.
The 1star hate is a bit over the top to be honest... the tutorial is simply explained and over quickly. This is a beautiful and well designed game that you will definitely enjoy if you enjoyed Card Crawl (though it is a different game!) and also quite probably if you’ve never heard of that game at all.
It SEEMS a little simple at first, but quickly develops into a fun and thoughtful game with fantastic artwork. I would happily recommend both this and Card Crawl to support the developer, because these games are different, and extremely fun and well thought out. If you’re interested, ignore the hate and hype, and just buy it already. :)
This has quickly become one of my favourite games on my phone. The basic idea is you have to move your thief card over a grid of randomly generated cards. Some of these cards are gold, others are guards and some are traps. Like any great game it’s simple to understand but hard to truly master.
It plays like nothing else I’ve found on the App Store. Each round is max 10 minutes so perfect to play on the go.
The first Castle is really a tutorial and my only grumble is there’s quite a steep learning curve from castle 1 to castle 2. But stick with it, it didn’t take that long to get the hang of it and now I’m regularly in the top 50 of the daily heists.
