In Card Thief you move through a deck of cards as a stealthy thief. Sneak in the shadows, extinguish torches, pickpocket guards and steal valuable treasures without getting caught.

Card Thief, the official follow up to Tinytouchtales excellent dungeon crawler Card Crawl, attempts to condense the classic stealth genre into a solitaire style card game.

The game offers an accessible core gameplay with a deep layer of tactical planning and various risk reward mechanics on top. In 4 different heists you can test your skills against various enemy and trap types. By successfully completing heists you can unlock and upgrade 12 equipment cards each with a unique ability to improve your highscores.

+ 12 unlock able and upgradable equipment cards
+ Hire 10 thieves with unique gameplay rules
+ Mini deck building

Editors’ Notes

Stealth fans, you’re in for a treat. We’re truly impressed by how intense it is to loot castles in this beautiful, solitaire-style game. Mastering just when to grab treasure and avoid guards takes a while, so doing it right feels terrific. Fun fact: Tinytouchtales cites the game Thief: The Dark Project as a key inspiration—and they really did capture the vibe of that classic sneak-fest.

Skattotter ,

1 stars are nonsense. Read this.

I made this 4 stars just because you might read it, given the strange divide of 1star and 5star reviews here.

Firstly, I want to say that I’ve played Card Crawl, Card Thief, and Miracle Merchant... (same developer) and I would rank them in that order, with MM being a big jump away from Card Thief, and Card Thief being only a small hop away from Card Crawl.

The 1star hate is a bit over the top to be honest... the tutorial is simply explained and over quickly. This is a beautiful and well designed game that you will definitely enjoy if you enjoyed Card Crawl (though it is a different game!) and also quite probably if you’ve never heard of that game at all.

It SEEMS a little simple at first, but quickly develops into a fun and thoughtful game with fantastic artwork. I would happily recommend both this and Card Crawl to support the developer, because these games are different, and extremely fun and well thought out. If you’re interested, ignore the hate and hype, and just buy it already. :)

i just wanna warn people ,

Fun game… for a while

This game is great, really cool idea, awesome designs and art, and the gameplay is pretty fun too. But it doesn’t last very long- there’s only about four areas on the ‘story mode’ part (which is just some levels, there’s no actual story there) and the only other content is a daily challenge that you can only play once per day. When you finish the game there’s nothing else to do. I would love to give this game five stars, but there’s just not enough content for a paid game. If this had PvP where it would be you vs someon else to see who could get more points on a level in a certain time limit that would be better than what there is right now. It needs something more interesting, but since it’s not there, this game just kinda sits on my home screen now.
