Clear Fear provides you with a range of ways to manage the symptoms of anxiety.

Developed by a clinician co-collaboratively with young people, Clear Fear uses a Cognitive Behavioural framework to help you change anxious thoughts and emotions, alter anxious behaviours and calm fear responses. It also has helpful descriptions of the different ways in which anxiety presents, resources and a 'grit box' to boost resilience.

It is recommended for the ages of 11-19 years but can be used by a younger group with the support of a parent or carer.

Clear Fear compliments, but does not substitute for the assessment and ongoing support of a mental health professional.

Fantastic for immediate relief

Stumbled upon this app from a Tumblr post and it is amazing! It has a section for you to input your own ideas of how you like to calm down, as well as activities to do to calm and distract yourself. There’s also breathing exercises and panic attack assistance.

The one thing I would like to see on this is an option to create an account and log in. I would mainly use this on my phone but I would occasionally like to use my iPad. However, my data is treated separately because of the two devices so it would be nice to have the option to log in to more than one device so my data saves and can be accessed elsewhere. Things like having to manually input your calming strategies on multiple devices is a little annoying.

Thank you for your review and suggestion. We don't create user accounts for privacy reasons, but I will pass your suggestion on to our development team for review as understand it would be easier to access the app from multiple devices.

Great App, Great Results!

I am absolutely awestruck by this app! I have had it for 4 days and my mood is getting so much better, along with my anxiety and stress levels. I love the breathing exercise as I find it hard to concentrate on my breathing without a visual and it has given me just that. And if you are thinking that it's ONLY for fear, then you are wrong. I love setting myself goals, and although I'm goal-orientated, I think that it would help for people who aren't. Another thing that I like about it is the "Grit Box" feature, which allows me to feel uplifted and empowered. Even if you are confused as to what you need from it, this app almost goes step by step to find out what you need. Tracking your progress is so simple and helps you reduce your stress and anxiety as well, even though it is just monitoring. Amazing app, would highly recommend this for children, adults and people of all professions that need guidance with anxiety, stress or phobias of all types.

Helpful, but annoying glitch

I found this app extremely helpful and very easy to use and perfect for times of stress and anxiety. However, every time I open the app after having closed it down, it asks me to put all my information in again (the country I'm in, age, secuirity question etc) basically I have to set it up every time I open it, which is really annoying. Hopefully this can get fixed because in a panic attack, I would not have the patience or clarity to fill those questions out again.
But, other than this I think the app has a sweet simple design, is very easy to use, has lots of very helpful techniques and is effective at calming me down when I need it.
