The Consultant Connect App makes clinician-to-clinician communication simple.
Whether you need Advice & Guidance from a local consultant or to quickly reach a GP practice, the App puts you in touch quickly and easily.
Consultant Connect calls prioritise the use of your phone's internet connection rather than your mobile plan's voice minutes when we detect a good network connection (Note: Data charges may still apply. Contact your sim provider for details).
The app also includes a Safe Clinical Photography (PhotoSAF) feature, which enables clinicians to take secure clinical photos and add notes on their smartphones. Images and notes are automatically stored in an IG secure and GDPR compliant cloud (not on your phone). They can then easily be accessed via a desktop PC and attached to e-RS or nhs.net emails.

Much quicker than switchboard
Consultant Connect was introduced in my area last year and it is the best system our CCG have commissioned to date. The app is fantastic and provides a list of available specialties that I can speak to quickly often while the patient is still at the practice. Would highly recommend - especially with COVID altering referral pathways!
This app is really intuitive and makes it easy for me to contact specialists when I need quick advice for my patients. I also really like using the PhotoSAF option - knowing the clinical photos I take are stored in a secure portal, not on my phone is reassuring to both my patients and myself! Highly recommend using it if it’s available at your GP surgery!
The best development since Covid19
This app has been invaluable in establishing near instant advice and guidance from specialists. The support team have been great in advising me on its use. The technology has worked perfectly without any issue so far. I cannot praise it enough. GP.
