Conquer Europe with Countryballs!

Discover the 19th and 20th centuries with countryballs! Train your countryballs, teach them how to fight, buy them cool weapons, and join great battles with them.

Countryball: Europe 1890 is a strategy game mixed with a turn-based combat mechanic plus cards and stats involved. All of those mechanics make the game more exciting and fun!
You start the Countryball: Europe 1890 by selecting a campaign/conquest game mode and your character afterward. After that, you will try to complete your objectives by conquering territories and mastering diplomacies.
In Countryball: Europe 1890 you can declare war, send ally requests, puppet weakened countries, remove your allies/puppets and even annex your puppet states! You have all the freedom to choose your allies and enemies. Try to have strong allies on your side because there will be battles that you will have to fight against multiple enemies. Before each battle, you have the option to call your allies and puppets to make them join the battle on your side. While allies sometimes accept your call, your puppet states on the other hand always accept your battle calls.
To defeat your enemies in battles, you have to be a strong country. To do that, you should play minigames or you should increase your stats (attack, defense, health, and mana) manually by using star points. To earn star points you should simply win battles. Also, you should buy strong cards from the shop. Each card has different combat effects. You play those cards by simply dragging & dropping on the countryball during combat. Note that all weapons are considered as cards!

In Countryball: Europe 1890, your simple task is to complete the objectives by defeating your enemies. By completing campaigns you get new countryballs to your collection. Note that all 50+ countryballs are available to play. The only thing you need is to find them! Some of them are hidden in capital cities while some of them are acquired by completing campaigns or conquests.

Simple yet brilliant with one exemption

After playing the game for awhile I can safely say it is very fun, the mechanics are generally quite easy to understand and if you know what your doing you can really face off against the AI at any level of difficulty at the main campaigns, further more each country has its own advantages in one way or another which I quite like.

The only real downsides is that your income is generally quite low and it can take a few rounds or attacks or rich territory’s to get anything significant, my other main gripe is with the attack mini-game, I personally find it horrendous and unbeatable as you generally can’t stop every enemy from crossing your border because either they are too fast and you can’t react in time or by the fact that the gun does not fire when you do manage to tap them on occasion, add that to no reward for trying and well it’s a mess.

Other then those two things I think the game is great and worth a go if your the kind of person who likes simple yet long term games.

Good but could be great

I really like this game. It is a nice twist on Risk and other strategy games. However, what makes it so good is also it’s downfall. In it’s attempt to be different it adds stuff like the ‘mini games’ where you have to go into a tavern to rebuild ur health ect and do a mini game. That seems the only real way to rebuild ur health which allows you to keep attacking/defending.

What makes this game great is simplicity with a little bit of a challenge. These mini games make it way too much effort and break up the flow of the game and this is this games main problem. Having to keep enter a mini state to find and recruit people for example. This does not include the battles which are fantastic so please do not include this! That is a great way of where to added the twist and made it exciting.

Don’t get me wrong, I was hooked by this game very quickly, but it is the small things within it like the mini games, having to click into a state, load, then click into a military base, load, to then see one unit. And then repeat. Believe me these are easy problems to fix but if they are, this would be a 10/10 quality game. Just needs this small update. Hope this is read too lol.

Cool but I recommend adding this:

Hi, I love this game a lot the best strategy game here on the App Store but… I also play lots of hoi4 (hearts of iron 4) and compared with each other I feel as though hoi4 is better. Although my point is maybe if you added a few more features it would be better 1. Doing multiple battles at once it maybe hard implementing this in but it be hella cool so u basically instead of doing each battle in a time order it could be done automatically at the same time 2. Peace conferences, this no doubt would be really hard but I kinda sick and tired of just capturing all of Poland and not liberating it in 1980’s campaign. 3. Civil wars/ideology tree, so basically if u went communist at the start then u reform the Russian empire a civil war will start and basically it would be half vs half.

So yeah that’s all I recommend sorry if too demanding or hard I just thought it’d be cool
