Limited over matches have been the main focus of development for Cricket Captain 2022, with new ball impact and swing movement balanced to reduce the wickets lost in white ball matches. Batsmen also settle more quickly, making collapses less prevalent. The aggression system mirrors a player’s real strike rate precisely, modelling boundary hitting and accumulation ability. With new separate aggression ratings for all players for First Class and Limited Over match types, white ball cricket has never been as dynamic.
Cricket Captain 2022 features all domestic system changes, and a database update, including new international home and away player stats.

It’s very good but it’s so similar
As ever there is very little upgrade on the new year but like a mug I paid for it again. I should have just stuck with 2021. I also find T20 incredibly difficult to win - I only won 1 game all season :/
England Lions and New T20 leagues and Drafts
Seeing the England lions play against South Africa has made me realise what a great tool that a second string team is to selectors and managers. I think it would be really useful to have the option of picking a lions squad at the start of the career so you can develop players before thrusting then straight into test or international cricket. Also, with the emergence of these new t20 leagues in South Africa and UAE, I believe that these should also be options in the game. I feel that, in order to make the game a bit more realistic, for franchise cricket where a draft process is involved, for example the hundred, this should be added to avoid it being so easy to make an insane squad that is guaranteed to win the league. Overall a great game that is really enjoyable.
Absolutely dreadful
So so many problems with this game and I’ve uninstalled because it is absolutely pathetic.
1) Batsmen don’t keep up with the run rate even when you set them to bat at a certain speed.
2) Young players are OP and overshadow the actual experienced players which is just totally unrealistic in every single way.
3) Same game year after year with just updated players and transfers which is just utterly lazy.
4) Match engine can be laggy and insufficient with the camera zooming out randomly making for an annoying gameplay experience.
5) In T20, it’s almost impossible to win the tournament because opposition batsmen seem to just hit boundary after boundary whilst my team falls apart.
6) When batting on ultra defensive in the CC, all it does is make it easier to get out and batsmen still play shots into the sky which is just dumb.
All in all players will just do their own thing no matter what settings you put anything on, so you’re not actually captaining the team, you’re sort of just there which is so so stupid!
