Ratings and Reviews
Useful app but needs some improvement
I’ve given this a 4* review, because I do think this app was a valuable tool in helping my daughter pass her test. However, on the improvement side it would help if you didn’t have to be outside of the test centre for it to start (ours is literally on a corner junction). Also, it doesn’t clearly show you the start direction. Plus, if you go wrong on the journey, which we did when starting the routes, it can’t give you a route to get back to where you need to. Overall though, once we got used to the app - and even though these routes are not the exact DVSA ones - every single street my daughter took on her actual test was on there and so she was able to navigate her actual test with confidence. I would recommend this app and think with those changes it will definitely be getting those coveted 5* reviews.

As a working registered driving instructor of some 20+ years I can say that one of the more difficult aspects of the job is trying to find suitable training areas in towns that I am unfamiliar with. The DVSA used to publish test route information but stopped doing so several years ago. I don’t use the information to simply “rehearse” the routes with my pupils as that would be entirely wrong. I do however need to locate suitable locations where driving lessons can be conducted without the need for time consuming trial and error (it looks pretty unprofessional if an instructor doesn’t have a clue where he’s going!). Test routes are a wonderful source of information to avoid this problem in unfamiliar areas. I came across this app, and to be honest I expected yet another scam out to part me from my money. How wrong I was. The app delivers exactly what it advertises. The company behind it is a delight to deal with. Completely approachable and happy to help. That is so very rare these days sadly, and I have no hesitation in offering this well deserved 5 star review. A breath of fresh air in these trying times. WELL DONE.
Not very useful
Ok, so first thing: you have to subscribe to the routes (not buy them), and you have to subscribe to each test centre's routes separately. Secondly, you must be right outside the test centre for the route to be able to begin, even if you're sitting on another part of the route, you can't start from there. Thirdly, it is not very good at giving directions - e.g. it won't say 'at the lights turn left' it'll say 'in 200ft turn left', which can be confusing, especially if you can't glance at the phone for clarification (old car, no phone holder or screen). Lastly, if you make a mistake (which, as per my last point, is easy to do), you can't just go back to where you went wrong and try again, you have to drive all the way back to the test centre and restart the whole route. I didn't complete one full route because of this. The only thing it was useful for was getting a vague idea of what sort of roads I might be dealing with on the test. Also, my subscription was difficult to cancel.

Hi Alice, Our app is a monthly subscription, this allows us to keep routes up-to-date and provide live navigation. All test routes are designed to start and end at the test centre, just like a real test. Please use a phone holder in your car while using our app. If you make a mistake you can simple re-join the routes at any point and the navigation will continue. Subscriptions are easy to cancel on your phone, we even have instructions on our website. We also have live support chat in our app if you have any questions while practicing.
