Great app, friendly creators

Unfortunately this app no longer works on my phone as it is too old, but this is an excellent app which I recommend to anyone who eats at a supported place or is looking for recommendations in their area.
It also encourages people to support their local businesses which is great.
I’ll be redownloading it when I get a newer phone!
The creators are friendly and got in contact with me after I mentioned the issue with an update.

A social must have

Embargo is awesome, I love the fact there is a range of cool venues and how easy it is to use.

I used it for Barts bar with some friends and had a really fun and yet sophisticated evening.

I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to meet aspirational new people and hang out in London’s most original locations ! I’ll be checking in again with the app this weekend for sure :)

Poor quality app build

A shop that I like switched to using this instead of physical loyalty cards. I tried to install the app in the queue and the authentication flow didn’t work, and I gave up after 3 attempts. The idea that someone needs to create an account to get their first stamp is just terrible design, has anyone on their team even spoken to a real user? Obviously having bugs/outages is bad but forgivable.

The date picker in the sign up flow was mostly hidden by the notch in my iPhone 11. They definitely haven’t tested this app properly.

Worse than the physical loyalty cards they are replacing. If you’re a shop and considering switching to this, please don’t.

Many thanks for your feedback! We have listened to what you said and were working on a new version for the last few months to make the sign up process simpler and many other features even more intuitive. We have just released it! We have removed creating an account for the first stamp and improved many other parts. Have a look and let us know any further improvements!
