Won’t Load - seems OK now.

After a long time I have learnt a free meal via this app and so today I chose to use it BUT …. at the till the app won’t load some have to pay for my meal and can’t even get a loyalty stamp! What’s gone wrong?UPDATE:The developer reached out and it does now seem to load - I’ll now have to try again!Two more * as developer replied, will revise again when I’ve had opportunity to test it.

We’ve been with magic stamp for a little over 2 years. At first it seemed great. You have to put your own hard work and expense into marketing the app but if you do it right you can get your uptake to be decent. However, what magic stamp don’t tell you is that customers who have anything other than iPhone or have a (even slightly) cracked screen or screen protector then you have no chance! We paid for a card redesign a year in and experienced many variations of the updated design across several devices as the design was just screenshots of our brief pasted to different formats over different devices. All of which meant customers weren’t getting the same experience each time, nor did they require the same amount of stamps to earn rewards. What customers and businesses want is something that’s easy to understand, use and fair. Our experience was that this platform can be considered to be none of the above. We gave notice to vacate the app and even then this was mismanaged and their policy muddled and changed each time. As a business this experience has been hugely brand damaging and expensive. Small businesses AVOID!Update: as pointed out, we did receive the rebrand free of charge as “goodwill” after we spent weeks in communication with their CEO who recognised our and our customers experience with the app was exceptionally poor. Developers response received less than a day after we received confirmation our business will no longer be listed on their app at our request so duly we heed the passive aggressive request to remove our (not-so) magic stamp page from our site. Still stand by this experience and app being brand damaging. Our experience is to avoid at all costs and choose another provider- there any many good ones out there!

Hi Aaron,Thank you for reaching out and we’re really sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience using Magic Stamp.As a young growing global business, we are committed to helping and facilitating communication between our clients and members of our team, as well as making it as convenient as possible for small businesses and their customers to use our app. We’ve been perturbed by your comments so wanted to look into this immediately and how you and your circa 750 customers that signed up were affected.On further investigation, we can see that you requested re-design of your card to reflect the rebrand you were going through. There were several hours spent over a period of time and a number of cards issued for approval. As a goodwill gesture the cost was provided free of charge, as we are committed to supporting small businesses.With reference to the cancellation period, businesses are normally given a grace period of 3-5 working days before completely removing the card to aid your transition to an alternative solution. It is also incumbent on the business and their staff to decide whether to provide a stamp or not, as well as advising customers not to carry on with your digital loyalty card if you’ve swapped over to another solution. We note you still have a link on your website, advising your customers to download and use the app; we suggest you remove this to avoid any further confusion.We currently have not seen similar experiences to the stamp only working on iPhone, in fact there are thousands across 35 countries with alternative devices being used every day. The data also does not suggest failed stamp attempts in the amount you infer. Needless to say, we also have remote redemption capabilities (magic codes), as an alternative way of providing stamps for the rare occasion a phone cannot recognise a stamp, such as a cracked screen.This feedback has been sent to our management team but please don’t hesitate to email support@magicstamp.com with this or any other feedback on this experience and we can get this resolved with you.

I’ve been using Magic Stamp for quite a while, and it’s a fantastic way to manage loyalty rewards without the hassle of carrying paper cards.Recently, I encountered an issue when trying to send a gift through the app, so I reached out to customer support. Lauren from the Magic Stamp team was incredibly helpful. She responded quickly, was friendly throughout, and resolved my issue efficiently. She also provided a workaround while their development team investigated the problem, making sure I could still send the reward to my daughter.It is always great to see a small business that truly values its customers and delivers such excellent support.If you are looking for a simple and digital way to manage loyalty schemes, I highly recommend Magic Stamp!

Stamps don’t work on my phone

It’s a great idea but unfortunately doesn’t work on my phone so I missed out on loyalty rewards from a shop I am regular as there is no paper option, which of course is good for the environment. But a back up option for when the app doesn’t work would be helpful!I have been several times in a shop (different branches) and I couldn’t get the stamp recorded on the app. Contacted customer services, who were very helpful at the beginning but after doing a test on my phone I haven’t received any response with regards to how to solve the problem or any other solution. Sadly can’t give you more stars!
