I don’t usually write reviews for apps but this got under my skin a bit. I followed the teams I want to follow, but it shows me both men and women’s cricket when I only want to watch men’s. I saw someone else talking about this and I think they were spot on, and I think it’s great that women play, I‘m a woman who played club cricket myself!!! I just am not personally interested in women’s cricket as men have a physical advantage which creates a higher standard of cricket and is more interesting to watch. I think it’s great that women play, again I reiterate that I, a woman have played, cherished and enjoyed cricket for years, but I think that our choice on what teams we follow should not be restricted because the creators wanted to make some virtue signalling statement. But then again, it is their app and they make the rules but I just wanted to say what many people will be feeling if not saying and I hope that coming from a woman you will understand that this is not unreasonable. Also, more of a personal gripe, but I was disappointed to see they include the 100 on there as I think it is the destruction of the pure form of the game and barely worthy of the label cricket.(Also the hundred is supposed to appeal to younger people and I am Gen Z and I can tell you the most enjoyable form of cricket in my opinion is test cricket, the standard of this game should not be lowered and cheapened in hopes of younger people taking interest, the way to do this is teach them the rules and show them good cricket.)
I like the app

I like the app but, after the last update, I can’t deselect the Sheffield Shield games. I’m also seeing the BBL even though I have turned off men’s and women’s BBL I’m the filter: I have iT20 selected for the World Cup and the BBL is showing because of this. You need to add more categories to the filter for ‘Overseas Domestic’ so we can deselect Sheffield Shield and need to make sure the BBL games aren’t tagged as iT20.
OK, but

Just started using this again now England are playing again Post-hiatus. Good app, but have already noticed a few things after the first 2 or 3 days. I say 2 or 3 because the app doesn’t tell you what day of the game it is - you need to go elsewhere for that info, which really is a fundamental missing. Alerts - older versions of this app used to have a distinctive alert sound - an urgent sounding “dink dink dink” noise that was fairly cool, dramatic and importantly obviously from this app. Now its using the phone’s default alert noise, so you can’t even tell it’s a cricket alert. Yesterday I excitedly thought England had a breakthrough, but it was just a reminder I’d set to remember to buy dog food this weekend :-( I’ve switched alerts off now.
Still Not Working Properly

The app has slowly improved but despite regular updates still does not work properly. For example, the bowling analysis for a particular match does not update regularly in the way that batting figures do. So you see that a batsman has been bowled by a bowler who according to the bowling figures has yet to bowl a ball. You have to leave the match and then come back to it for the figures to update. I have been reporting this literally for years now but it remains unfixed. The app also very strangely at no point (before, during or after a match) report the number of points earned by either side. Why?
Optimised Match Experience
We’ve overhauled our Match Centre to ensure that the data is even clearer and easier to read, whether you are checking a score in a rush or deep diving into stats.
New "Glanceable" Layouts: We’ve optimised our scorecards for every screen size. No more truncated names or cluttered stats – just a clean, professional view of every player's performance.
Professional Data Alignment: Statistics (Runs, Balls, SR) are now perfectly aligned with player names, creating a "locked-in" grid that allows for much faster scanning.
Improved Accessibility: To help your eyes track data across the screen, we’ve enhanced the contrast and font weighting of alternating lines. This "high-rhythm" design makes it easier to stay on the right row, even in bright outdoor light.
Elite Stats & Reliability
Standardised Precision: Bowling economy rates now feature two decimal places (e.g. 4.70), matching elite data standards.
Offline Clarity: Our new "No Connection" page keeps you informed when your signal is patchy, ensuring you know exactly when your live data is up to date.
