Ultra-fast browsing of your computers. Faster than Windows Explorer or Mac Finder and our users agree!

FileBrowser gives you everything you need to keep your files effortlessly organized:
Move, edit, delete, rename, copy, zip and unzip. Download files from the web and paste them wherever you choose.

Our FileBrowser suite of apps are the first file management apps to support multiple tabs. Connect to many of your locations at once and switch between them with ease. Use iPadOS split-screen mode to drag & drop between multiple windows.

Windows, Mac, Linux, Time Capsule, NAS drives, portable WiFi drives, SMB, Samba.
Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, WebDAV, FTP and SFTP.
Link to the same cloud storage with multiple accounts, if you have more than one Dropbox account, for example.

FileBrowser allows you to access all your connections from the iOS Files app and other apps that use this as their document chooser, bringing network access to those apps.

No more copying of documents between apps. Launch an app to edit a network document in-place, such as Word or Pages or any of the Office and Mac suite. Changes are saved to the original document automatically.

Create bookmarks to your favorite locations & folders. Use a single tap to connect and browse to a favorite folder.

Browse your photos wherever they are stored and display them on your TV or projector using AirPlay or Chromecast. Easily flick through holiday snaps or use the built-in slideshow feature.

Stream movie files or listen to music, both with AirPlay™ and Chromecast support. Use our built-in viewers or stream video to other apps.

View Microsoft Office, Apple Pages, Numbers, KeyNote, PDF, text files, source code, HTML, and many more using the built-in viewers.

Use the built-in annotation tools for PDFs and images, or use the iOS annotation tools to add notes, drawings or highlight text.

FileBrowser securely stores your passwords in the iOS keychain and uses iOS encryption features to protect your local content. Protect local files using a password, TouchID or FaceID.

An essential addition

Having bought Affinity Photo, I needed a way to get it to operate properly with my NAS. FileBrowser proved to be the answer. Although the ‘Save’ function on the main screen uses an API that’s only available to iCloud, I can use the space on my SMB shares through the ‘Save a Copy’ command in the image’s document menu. Filebrowser’s plug-in for the native Files app makes this possible, and I haven’t found any other file manager app that offers this functionality. This alone is worth the price of the program.

As a bonus, it includes a browser for RAW files that’s far superior to that included in Files or Photos, and I can send a RAW straight to Affinity through the share sheet.

If you have plenty of disk space on your local network and want to move large files on and off your iPad without sending them through the internet to iCloud, then this is an essential purchase.

This app by Stratospherix is by far the best of its kind. It outpaces every other file organiser I’ve used over the last n years, and the most recent improvements lift it into the astral realm!
I opened FileBrowser today, which was the first time for many months, as I’ve been undergoing quite a bit of surgery. Just seeing the layout, with everything so efficiently organised, in a way that’s a pleasure to look at, almost made me weep with relief. It’s always been the app with the easiest interface for seeing what’s where, but the upgraded version is better again!

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to write this because I’m so delighted with the app. It’s made keeping my life in order so much simpler. Thank you, developers at stratospherix - you’ve made an old woman very happy!

File Browser after 3 years use.

File Browser is a fantastic app to view and manage all my files on iPad and iPhone, It connects to my NAS server and allows me to transfer files between that and my devices, most file types are accessible and you can view photos in a slideshow. Or play your saved music files. Last week I had a problem with the connection to my server when opening Nixon Nef files, the support centre were very quick to reply to my query and resolved my problem over a few emails, I was very impressed with the speed and effort they put into the resolution. Thanks guys.
A great company with a great product and great support team.
