First Bus 4+

Your cheerful, polite & extremely helpful drivers have literally given me my life back. I’m a 65 yr old lady who used to drive & was independent until 2017 when an accident left me with limited mobility. Since that time I have been dependent on a husband who hates shopping to take me, but the nearest supermarket was his limit & then with no time to browse. Then one day I decided to try getting on the bus that runs through the village to town using my powerchair, since that day I have not looked back & I now regularly get the bus to Truro which is some 20 miles away & I plan to travel to other towns in West Cornwall over the coming months. Your drivers are always beyond helpful assisting me to get on the bus using the ramp & this has given me my confidence back & in turn my independence, so a huge thank you to all the drivers who work in the Helston, Truro & Penzance area for your patience & help, I will always be indebted to you.

As much as I love this application for its convenience such as being able to purchase and display my mTicket for use on public transport. I only have one issue. The Live times are ALWAYS wrong. More often than not, it will display a bus as “2 mins” then “1 min” then “Due.” I will make sure I am ahead of things and always be at the bus stop with a few minutes to spare BUT the bus NEVER arrives. I check the live map to see if I have missed the bus by a minute or so just to be told that there are no buses near me or any that have just passed by. So I am stuck waiting at the bus stop for over 30 minutes every night after work freezing and soaked because yet again, the bus schedule has been falsified to make it seem that there is always a bus conveniently available just to make the services look more reliable and efficient. Please, fix the live times for crying out loud. The live time says one thing but the Live Map within your own app says another. Thank you for your time regarding this matter.

Once I had found where the saved stops had moved to I quite like the look of the new app. I also like the ability to save a bus route rather than just a stop so you can see where on the route the next bus is currently. It need a slight change however. When you search for a particular route you always get two options as the buses go both ways along the route. You can tell which is which because it states the final destination. However, if you want to save both directions the list of saved routes only gives the bus number, twice, but you can’t tell which is which direction. The saved list of routes needs the final destination too, or a way to edit the name as with saved stops.
Also an oblivious enhancement would be a Home Screen widget which showed the same info as the departures display on your chosen bus stop.
