All MCard tickets are accepted on all operator services in West Yorkshire, including First, Arriva, and Transdev.
If you buy a discounted Under 19 or 19-25 or Student ticket, you may be asked for proof of eligibility when you travel. You can show your Under 16, 16-18, 19-25 or Student PhotoCard or an NUS card, driver’s licence or passport. Mature full-time students need to show their 19-25 or Student PhotoCard.

Ticket machines not accepting valid tickets
Frequently bus drivers tell me that their machine has not accepted my ticket because the time on my phone is incorrect.
I then have to close the ticket or sometimes the whole app and then it works fine. That is a pain when quickly going from bus to train, bus to bus or so on.
The time on my phone is set via the network.
Works, but could be a lot better
The app works well enough. You can buy a ticket and save it in the app, then use it on the bus or train or whatever. Unfortunately there are several features that should be standard on this sort of app missing. The sign up and login don’t work with the password manager so you can’t generate a password to use with the app. Autocomplete doesn’t work anywhere so you have to enter all your payment details manually. This really should support Apple Pay and the ability to save tickets in the Apple Wallet should be added.
app size is too large
Although the new update looks quite nice, I struggle to keep it on my phone when the app size is so large for what is seemingly a very simple app. to download an app that’s 277MB on my phone just to catch the buses seems a little bit unreasonable…
