A really valuable asset and one we must all support and cherish !!

I am so happy that at the age of 85, I joined Freedom Leisure for swimming and sessions in the gym. I needed to do this to bring myself back to full health and mobility after major spine surgery in January 2023 and, with the help of the superb trainers and all the staff at the pool and in the gym, I am now in a very very much better place, very active and very mobile and, once again, I am enjoying life to the full. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff at Freedom Leisure and I can only thank them with all my heart for all they have done (and still continue to do) for me and for their care. A really big THANK YOU to them all. Pat Lowe

Worse than the awful, unusable website

Completely impossible to search for classes as the search firm insists you pick a single day. I want to see all classes (of a type, eg Pilates) that are currently available to book on ANY DAY. Having wasted 20 minutes installing the app and searching one day at a time, I find there is nothing available to book. And, based on experience with the website and with phoning reception, I know there will never be any availability because the Seven Day rule is treated as Eight Days by staff on reception.The app is actually worse than the website, which did at least allow searching all days. All that’s been done is to take the hideous, cramped little tables from the website and plonk them in an app, but with even less functionality. What a waste of members’ money!Searching needs to be vastly improved. Categories, for a start. Searching by exercise type (not class name) would be particularly helpful, eg high energy, low impact, gentle, 50+ or 60+, instead of having to guess what will be suitable.

Constantly need to login which is really annoying. This is not a user friendly app at all. Useful to be able to book classes but it would be better if when booking a class you could see who the instructor was. Once booked it would be useful to be able to see the name of the class rather than a generic “activity”. You can’t cancel a class either. Please improve the app. These additions will make such a difference and are not that hard to make. At the moment I have to switch between the website which does give you the info on the class and then back to the booking.

Clunky and buggy

Exactly what you’d expect from a local authority/leisure trust app. Extremely clunky and annoying to use. The main feature is booking classes, but every time I open that function, it malfunctions, greys out the screen and won’t let me select any classes lol. Extremely irritating considering that the majority of users probably have the app for booking classes. There are so many apps and websites for creating and managing bookings that work amazingly. I have no idea why they’ve developed their own awful app when they could just license one that works and put their own branding on it!
