No Longer Compatible With Plug-ins

I like the application for what it is and is a simple way for me to record guitar riffs and other bits and pieces. The problem i'm having is that the guitar amp plug-in software pieces I use (Neural DSP) are no longer supported by Garageband. They worked for a long time but when I updated to the latest version of Garageband they no longer work so all the tones I've dialed in for practice can no longer be used and I can no longer track riffs without using the amps which already come with Garageband. Please do another update so plug in software pieces can be used. I also contacted Neural DSP to see if there was anything they could do but they said its on Garagebands end to sort the issue. Thanks

amazing stuff

been a pro musician for many years, I play seriously 3 instruments. Garageband is brilliant. I regret not having started to use it earlier, this is due to all the numpties who told me that Garageband is 'not for serious use'. That's complete garbage, gb is truly a daw for the MUSICIAN. If you are a MIXING ENGINEER then you might find gb basic, but for a musician this is a game changer. The Drummer is the best drum machine in the world, even top notch software like EZ Drummer, which I used before switching to Mac, is no match for the Drummer! And it's even free! I would have bought it in a heartbeat. It doesn't have all the minute detail of EZ Drummer, but it will give you a solid drum track far more easily and in NO TIME.

The MS Paint of Podcasting

Garage Band used to be a wonderful tool for creating podcasts as well as music tracks. Steve foresaw that as an important use case in the future, and he was right. Now there's no chapters, artwork, metadata support of any kind.

There's also no automation/AppleScript support, or any way to use the files outside of Garage Band. It doesn't even support Spotlight to search e.g. track / region names. Impossible to integrate with external tools.

It's little more functional than Voice Memos for podcasters. First-party apps on macOS were struggling for years to get back where they were '09, and it looks like they've given up. The iOS-era rewrites were a disaster.
