Go-tcha Update 4+

Good for function, but app is terrible after updates.

Gotcha works fine and as intended but the app is now useless and irrelevant after recent updates. It used to show you cool stats and let you tweak most things a about your gotcha but they’ve removed that for some reason. Download the app once to connect your gotcha then you may as well delete it.

Thank you so much for taking notice and implementing my idea, if I have more ideas to improve or bring new features to the device, how would I get in touch? Can you provide an email address?

(Original review: Datel, when people look at this app and the change log you are providing, it would be good if you noted that (in general) they are really not bothered about a dark theme for the “update app” but are in fact bothered about what new features you are bringing to the functionality of the GO-techa itself! There are no notes to say what this 5.0 firmware update does, nothing to tell us anything was added, no new functionality that is actually useful. How about a “dark theme” for the device that shows nothing on the AMOLED display? Thus, saving even more power than turning off vibration. You got my hopes up and let me down in the space of 24 hours, well done!)

You're most welcome. It is great idea that should help extend the Go-tcha playing time. I will get a go-tcha specific email address arranged and share with you. This might take a day or so.

sorry to have disappointed with this update.
Disable the OLED is a great idea and something we can try to implement on the next update. Please remember we are limited to how we interact with the game but we are open to suggestions.

Finally the go-tcha update app is here!

Finally the go-tcha update app has been released! For those of us that purchased a go-tcha towards the beginning will understand how long the wait has been for the much needed firmware update to allow the auto catch to work again. That time has come!

The app works perfectly with no issues connecting to the device. Once update is selected it was completed within minutes.

Upon testing the go-tcha is working better than ever and quicker than I remember too. The auto catch it back in full working order!

For those that have recently purchased the go-tcha will find that the device will already have the update but this will come in handy once future updates are needed.

Suggestions for improvement? Push notifications. Although not necessary at this moment in time it would be nice to know as and when a new update has been released to ensure the go-tcha is kept up to date. Hopefully future updates won’t take as long now the app is here.
