Can't fault it

This really is such an excellent app to go with an excellent product! I really can't fault it at all. It's so easy to navigate and has helped me ensure I meet the agreed weekly pocket money with no problem whatsoever. The tasks are an excellent idea as my daughter gets an agreed amount of pocket money but is able to earn more by completing simple tasks each week that we agreed together. I like that you can choose to be the o e who ticks off completed tasks or allow your child to also tick off tasks as she does them. It shows your child you trust them to be honest but if it doesn't quite go as expected it us dimple to change to just the parent ticking off tasks/chores. Not only that but my child cimpmetes her chores with no complaints or moaning. She likes watching her money grow and it has taught her the joy of saving her money. An agreed amount each week goes into her savings account but it's easy to transfer to spending account shld it be needed for special circumstances e.g. Holidays
I cld go on but I h e probably said more than enough already.
All in all despite the monthly fee, thus card and app has helped my child and I build a stronger bond of trust as I was forever forgetting pocket money or not having enough cash to give her.
It's well worth giving a go. You won't be disappointed.

Love it! Very valuable to my family.

I think GoHenry is a fantastic app. We’ve had it for over two years and haven’t experienced any issues at all. The kids love getting their spence and using their cards in stores and online. Family who live far away love the convenience of sending money straight to the kids accounts for special occasions.

The customer service is excellent - my son’s card was stolen and the thief spent money on it within minutes. I called the customer services team and they very kindly arranged a refund and the card was replaced quickly.
The only thing I would ask for in an update is the ability for siblings to be able to transfer each other money from their accounts. It is possible for a parent to transfer to a child and vice versa, but sometimes the children want to give each other money (when one bribes the other to do their chores haha!). Brilliant app and well worth the subscription fee.

Teaching money to children is a topic which some may find hard, which may be a struggle to find out how to do, but this app does provide a great way of giving your kids a card which they can use at the shops! However, if your parents (or one of your parents) are controlling in any way then they can, and will, use it to manipulate and control your every move. One such issue is the ATM limits. There should be no ATM limit in the application as it will restrict the money to be just usable on the card. Another issue is with the card customisation, children cannot edit their cards while they're 'being made' but adults can. This is confusing as if your parents are indecisive then they can keep on changing the card patterns to something different which is a pain in the backside for the creators of the card. Finally, we have the spending limit. Teenagers shouldn't be restricted by their parents as to how much they spend in a week or at once, rather they should be limited by the money they have. Parents with the app can keep the money their kids can spend at once low to basically teach your kids not to save as it is worthless. GoHenry is very Orwellian in these ways and give the parents too much controll.

Hi there, thank you for your review. We understand that our service does not work for every family, we try to be as safe and inclusive as we can with the features that we offer. Because we are a service for children, we have parental limits in place to protect them from making unsafe or age-restricted transactions. The parental limits in place also teach the children how to save and budget their money. With regard to the card designs, these cannot be changed once selected, the "change until" will only allow you to update personal details on the card rather than the actual design, because of this, the feature is only available to the parent.
