Not fit for purpose

I normally use Scopay on a laptop but was out when I got a call from my daughter asking for a top up. Downloaded the app onto my iPhone and managed to navigate my way around with no problems. Then I got to the checkout and found it totally unusable from there on. The interface to input your card details is way too small and you can’t stretch it with two fingers. You can’t see your card details as you enter them as the screen is white. When you do find your way back to the field it just says “hidden” so you can’t check what you’ve input. Not sure what happened next but my basket was suddenly empty. Ended up texting daughter back telling her to wait half an hour till I could get to my laptop. For an app that’s supposed to allow you to pay for things the most important screen, I.e. the payment interface, is totally unfit for purpose. Thoroughly unimpressed.

**Update** We have now released a fix for the issue when entering card details that you raised, which is available through version 1.2.0 of the App. We'd encourage you to double check the version of the App that you are running and hope that this gives you an improved user experience. Please do let us know if this is not the case via query@scopayapp.com and we can investigate.

Dear Mamadabs – thank you for downloading our new App and for your feedback. In your child’s case, the display of the payment pages is based on settings on the school’s own third party payment provider account. We’re working with schools and payment providers to enable the mobile pages to ensure that they display appropriately for all mobile device types in the future.

Fix the payment card page!

When you go to pay, you cannot see the payment boxes due to the formatting. I’ve seen a developers response that it depends on the individual authorities payment provider, not an excuse really. They should test/check all this before release!

That said, it’s better than the mobile option when you go to the website on your phone or iPad, pay, and then get left staring at flashing dots and have to close the page, and login again!

Many thanks for downloading the App and for taking the time to pass on feedback.

Initially there were some issues with the display of non-mobile styled checkout screens for a number of sites, as a result of sites having incorrect configuration in their third party payment processor accounts over which, unfortunately, we had no control.

The issue we believe you are experiencing which prevents you viewing card entry fields has now been investigated. We have identified an issue and will be releasing a fix for this shortly.

Would be five stars if? Payment page would display correctly?

The app is lovely apart from the place where you process the payment. You are offseting the keyboard in the WebView when it appears this is wrong because the fields go out of the screen and I have to do blind typing implement some sort of checking mechanism for elements in the WebView or at least put the WebView in some sort of UIScrollView so that whatever goes off the screen can be brought back by swiping.
Thanks

Developer Response ,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are aware that the positioning of the keyboard on some iOS devices hides the text being entered. We're currently investigating what improvements we can make in a future release to allow all users to view the text entry fields.
