I downloaded this app almost three years back because my mother wanted to teach me about finances and responsibilities after inflation and the pandemic due to the critical role money will play in my future and need to build financial good habits from a impressionable age. Although quite pricey at £3 a week (I think) I believe for a lot of families it will be well worth it. It rests heavily on your family dynamic and child’s age. If your child is year 4-5 and up, I would highly recommend it as usually for younger kids there isn’t a lot of opportunities to spend, so their money can grow quickly while they learn. Entering secondary school, there will be a lot more options, but you can block certain categories, including ATMs ( helpful in case of running away) and set spending limits a week, seeing where and what categories they spend their money on. I must confess, my habits aren’t the best, however I spend less than my allowance+saving money each week, and have a steady saving place. I know it is for a good cause, but keep your eye out for the donations, because the app doesn’t tell you as a parent if or how much your child is giving and always automatically transfers to the charity if you ticked that ages ago ( you should have to have permission from a parent)Thanks

This really is such an excellent app to go with an excellent product! I really can't fault it at all. It's so easy to navigate and has helped me ensure I meet the agreed weekly pocket money with no problem whatsoever. The tasks are an excellent idea as my daughter gets an agreed amount of pocket money but is able to earn more by completing simple tasks each week that we agreed together. I like that you can choose to be the o e who ticks off completed tasks or allow your child to also tick off tasks as she does them. It shows your child you trust them to be honest but if it doesn't quite go as expected it us dimple to change to just the parent ticking off tasks/chores. Not only that but my child cimpmetes her chores with no complaints or moaning. She likes watching her money grow and it has taught her the joy of saving her money. An agreed amount each week goes into her savings account but it's easy to transfer to spending account shld it be needed for special circumstances e.g. HolidaysI cld go on but I h e probably said more than enough already.All in all despite the monthly fee, thus card and app has helped my child and I build a stronger bond of trust as I was forever forgetting pocket money or not having enough cash to give her.It's well worth giving a go. You won't be disappointed.

I think GoHenry is a fantastic app. We’ve had it for over two years and haven’t experienced any issues at all. The kids love getting their spence and using their cards in stores and online. Family who live far away love the convenience of sending money straight to the kids accounts for special occasions. The customer service is excellent - my son’s card was stolen and the thief spent money on it within minutes. I called the customer services team and they very kindly arranged a refund and the card was replaced quickly. The only thing I would ask for in an update is the ability for siblings to be able to transfer each other money from their accounts. It is possible for a parent to transfer to a child and vice versa, but sometimes the children want to give each other money (when one bribes the other to do their chores haha!). Brilliant app and well worth the subscription fee.

After my few years of owning GoHenry I have had a lot of fun owing this banking app. I was generally quite surprised about the stuff on the app- such as lessons that taught me various money habits such as saving, budgeting , spending, and more. I really enjoyed all the lessons and I wish I could learn more about all this money management information! I particularly appreciate how many options of fun credit card designs they offer for us to choose from! My whole family use GoHenry, and at Christmas I get transferred money from many relatives to spend on whatever Christmas stuff I want! I also like how we can also do chores and get a weekly allowance as I think that’s quite handy. Additionally it is also nice to see where we spent our money and what categories we usually tend to spend it on. I think GoHenry is amazing, but I think everything has room to improve on Earth! I think offering more educational lessons would be fantastic, as well as providing line graphs or more detailed bar charts on what we spend our money on, so we can really get a visual of what we do. Thanks so much for helping me and my family with everything you guys provide!
