The Good Energy app makes it easy for you to manage your own energy account. Use the app to:
- Submit meter readings
- Pay your energy bill using a card or Google or Apple Pay
- View your energy usage in kWh and £ (if you have a smart meter)

We supply 100% renewable electricity sourced from over 2,000 generators across the UK, as well as green gas. We install heat pumps, solar panels, battery storage solutions and EV charge points. We champion small renewable generators, with our leading export tariff and FIT services. And we’re a major investor in Zap-Map, the UK’s go-to electric vehicle charging app.

Based on your feedback we have improved some of our existing functionality, and added new features:
- Added torch toggle to submit meter reading screens
- Added property switcher to Dashboard
- Improved readability across app including tables and Dashboard components
- Added account number to Dashboard
- Added ability to share referral link
- Added pop up messages to verify completed process or notify of failure
- Improved logic of reading alerts
Ratings and Reviews
Intially couldn’t log in but issue now fixed
Now working well - logging in issue has been fixed by Good Energy. It took several months to resolve.

We apologise for the inconvenience you faced trying to log in to our app. This problem has been fixed and you should be able to sign in and use the app as expected. We would love to hear your feedback once you have logged in.
Worse than useless
So yesterday I received an email telling me that the old app (which worked fine) is no longer current and that I should download the new one. I did so only to find that it doesn’t work at all. Initial sign in results in an error message and an email with a sign in link. I believe this is because I have two factor authentication turned on but that is not what the error message says. On clicking on the email link and signing in again I am taken to a website using Safari. The only useful thing I can do there is input a meter reading and nothing else. What is the point of an app that simply directs the user to a website? Waste of time.

We are very sorry you experienced this issue, we received unprecedented levels of interest in the new app which created an unexpected issue with customers ready to move from MFA to biometric login. These issues are resolved now. Please try the new app again and let us know your thoughts. We really appreciate all feedback.
If it ain’t broke
Great company but the new App is appalling. The old one worked perfectly well and I held out from transferring to the new one for as long as I could in the hope that the development work would have been more thorough.
Unfortunately the text is too big so it doesn’t fit in one line on the screen. This is the case for my balance, amounts paid and dates. It makes it completely unreadable and there’s no option to change the font size.
Please bring back the old app or increase the size of your test group.
