Subscriptions:

Subscriptions are available on monthly or annual terms.

Lost the ability to use on my phone as well as my iPad

Now 3 months since I subscribed using my iPad. Still can’t use it on my phone, despite raising the issue to support multiple times. They tell me family sharing might work, but that would mean creating a second Apple account on my iPhone, which I don’t see I should have to do. Every other app, and until this upgrade this one, worked on multiple devices linked to the same Apple ID. Try restore purchases - it grinds away for a mo, then shuts down. Try subscribing on the second device, it tells you you are already subscribed and defaults back to the page offering a free 3 month trial. No way to log in or get past that on the second device. Incredibly disappointed

Absolutely furious

1 star as there is no way to review with zero stars!!! Used to be a great app, I’ve spent many years building up my recipe collections and overnight it’s all gone 🤬🤬🤬 beyond devastated. I subscribed against my better judgement as I am an overseas subscriber to the magazine and honestly think anyone who subscribed to this should have it free or at least a heavy discount! I can access my recipes through the webpage but NOT through the app. The unhelpful advice received after emailing about my problem was remove app and re-download it which I’ve done, then told its a problem with my phone and take it to apple, I explained it’s the same on my iPad and was told that’s broken too…..really? When I then explained it works through the website so the problem is with the app I was told bluntly to use that and not sure why I’m complaining! I was also told even though everything is gone I can now save new things and to just open up webpage and search and save all that I’d lost…..speechless, do your staff on the phone even know how time consuming doing 5 recipes let alone around 500?!? I want to use the app as I always have, I don’t want to have to use the website especially as I’m now paying for it and the website is free!!!!!!! Utterly disappointed and furious at all of my years of collecting are gone with no explanation nor apology

We've loved having you as a user for so many years and are so sorry you can't find your recipes via the app. If you could please update your app to version 3.0.4 in the app store to ensure you have the best possible app experience.

This app is a separate offer to the BBC Good Food magazine subscription I'm afraid. We are working towards being able to provide a combined subscription opportunity and we will let users know as soon as this is available.

Clunky and missing key feature

So I have lived with this all for a while and finally got irritated enough to write a small review. The collections functionality is clunky and often my recipes have disappeared or were not saved at all despite confirmation messages saying otherwise. But really got annoyed by the smug FAQ message on the website about ability to print. So according to you “people are enjoying sharing recipes by email and mobiles phone and it’s so simple to print information from email”. How do you propose I do that from the app, when the content is exclusive to the app and there is not print button? When I share the recipe, all I get is a link to the website which tells me I can’t see the recipe because it is app only! The app doesn’t allow me to copy the text so I resorted to a series of screenshots that I then printed as pictures. Absolutely not good enough guys. And don’t tell me how I should or should not use the app. Go and talk to your UX guys and sort it out. Don’t presume to know how everyone consumes a recipe content, post finding it on your app.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to print from the app but if you have an app subscription and log in on the website, you will be able to access & print the premium recipes from there, as well as any non-premium recipes.
