Hades - NETFLIX 12+

Have to say I’m enjoying this game run’s really well on my iPhone 15pro max , nice graphics and has that one more go about it. I’ve never played the game before but I’m enjoying it on my iPhone with the touch control’s on the screen, don’t have a controller and i don’t think I’m missing out on anything without one , certainly enjoying a few of the games that Netflix have on their list, nice one Netflix.

The game is excellent, there’s no doubt about that. Runs great on iPhone 13, although the device is new so with age this may change. A few occasional lag spikes but they are infrequent. This would be the easiest 5 star if it wasn’t for the following:

Saving. The game does not autosave unless you’re in HOH. It says it does, and the symbol appears, but autosave rarely actually happens.
Whenever I am mid run and I go to a different app, pause to answer a call or move the the Home Screen: The game will restart and shunt me back to house of hades, which has ruined many a hopeful run.

I’ve made a habit of syncing and quitting at the end of each chamber, and if I open the game up again this works and I can reenter where I left off-
HOWEVER, even when I sync and quit, if the game shuts itself down during pause mid run from switching app/going to the Home Screen, even though I have saved throughout the run, both the manual and cloud saves are dismissed and I am back at the HOH as if I had never started the run. It completely ruins the flow and enjoyment of what would otherwise be one of the best games on the App Store.

Update from my previous review. I decide to quit the game. The dpad just unbearable, every time I want to dodge, 50%of the time I am going to the opposite direction as dpad not responding. I don’t think I can ever pass the second level due to this. I tried countless times, again, if you have a controller , buy this game, if not, you will have a hard time . I am not sure what is a fix, hope dev can find a solution. Until then, I am not going to play it.

Original review: It is an excellent and addictive game but unfortunately the virtual control is really frustrating. I died countless times due to Dpad not responding properly. I guess this game was meant to be played on controller.
