Great App

Got me from 10K to 21K in 12 weeks (with a winter forced break in the middle). This is easy to use and doesn’t seem to chew up much battery life. It also runs in conjunction with map my run (I often had them both running as this app misses things like regular updates on speed/distance etc.). Good app which worked well, but your own motivation is the key. I’d recommend buying the app outright in case minor things like a Scottish winter stop you from being able to train properly…..
Now to try the 42K version……

Disappointing compared to the 5k and 10K equivalents.

I purchased this app after my success with the 5K and 10k ones. The original two were very encouraging and gave you encouraging comments throughout your workout.
The 21K app does not do this. In fact it hardly gives you any advice at all. It tells you to do a five minute warmup and then begin your workout and only then advises that you are at the halfway mark. If you're running for over two hours it's actually quite a long time.
There is no suggestion of how fast or slow you should be going. It just says run. It does but say run at an easy, steady or threshold pace.
Only in the interval section does it tell you to run slightly faster. You have to delve quite deeply into the information within the app to realise that run slightly faster means 10 to 20 seconds faster which is very difficult to gauge if you're a beginner.
I've lost interest with it now and won't be buying the marathon app and will change to an alternative. What a shame! It appears Fitness 22 just cut corners on this app and it really let the customer down. Never mind.

Life changing

I love the Fitness22 suite of apps. I did Couch25K as a total novice then wanted to keep going. I got the Fitness22 5k pacer and it kept me healthy and sane through the pandemic and huge work stress. Then I wanted a new challenge. Last month I ran my first charity 10K using the Fitness22 10K pacer. Now I’ve just started the 21K training programme for a half marathon in October. I also use the Fitness22 7-minute workouts as a warm down after each run and to give my arms some exercise. The apps are simple to use, reliable and give me an achievable, repeatable structure. Thanks Fitness22!
