Holiday Rentals Owner App 4+

Bad layout, illogical and hard to navigate. Prevents sharing photos or websites with guests so hard to pass on links to local attractions. Is a bar to good communication and needs a rethink. We get fewer bookings through this sight than others so I assume the guest interface is equally poor.

This is a pretty good app for most aspects of managing a rental property - BUT with one glaring omission: that's that you cannot annotate a calendar entry you make yourself. All you can show is "unavailable", so if you are blocking out dates for friends or family, or for maintenance - you have to run a separate calendar which is a real pain!. Air BnB can do it so why not TA/HL? I have bleated to them about this for 8 years but they seem to take not notice. UPDATE MAY 2017. Now at last they have allowed annotation of calendar entries ! Thanks HL. Update Oct 2017 - still serious limitations. You can annotate entries from the pc app but NOT the iPhone/ iPad app. Even more annoying - if you annotate a calendar entry in the pc you cannot see the annotation from mobile app - just shows as unavailable! Grrrrrrr!

I had to reload it on my I phone today as it got ‘stuck’ on one feature. It doesn’t cover enough tasks that you may wish to do, it’s not listed on the app selection page as Trip Advisor but can only be found under holiday Lettings (no mention of this anywhere on main web site so you have to track it down on the app selection list). It’s handy if you are out for the day to notify you of a new booking (so you can remove dates from your own booking system and you don’t double book). I don’t get many bookings from this system, Holidsy Lettings/Trip Advisor - probably because of their high ‘service fees’ they add on for the customer. Very enjoyable being able to do a review of a Trip Advisor product to see how they like it!!! Ha ha
