Stunning game, the economy is generous but healing costs should be reduced.

There is no doubt this is a superb game. The gist of playing relates to managing resources which, by and large, is achievable as the economy is quite generous. Progress is doable with or without payments; the designers have done an excellent job creating this fun little ditty. There are several nuances to get used to, fighting players after a while loses money because the healing costs are so high. Basically you want to only fight battles you can win without taking damage or are able to heal from after being hit. So don't play against foes with attackers who have the 'attack all opponents for 90% damage' ability - you'll be bankrupt in no time. It is easy to play without paying, so long as you understand you can progress but won't be the best. Just as it goes, no one gets rewarded for positive reviews, and the developers are in business not operating a charity. Their incentive for making it free and fun to play is popularity.

I love playing this game I have to admit it. But as many people say, it is quite slow burning. Normally I wouldn’t mind waiting an hour or two for a building but there isn’t any scaling. A level two building should take much less than an hour as early players are left with nothing to do with rescources, You should also consider adding more clan interaction such as friendly battles (with no health consequences for gladiators), you could add interGuild tournaments where the creator (an owner or guild Admin which you should also consider adding) puts in a prize from their pocket and the winner after a set time gets it. I’m on the fence about how the health system works currently too, late Pvp battles in my experience have been unbalanced as I always get matched with much higher rating players, I think the best thing would either be don’t loose glad health from pvp battles maybe only if you loose? I don’t know but if not that then Health potions should probably be stackable instead of taking a whole slot each. You could add so much to this game that would make it the best there is and that is no lie. It just needs good ideas, a lot of work and a strong interactive Development team, replying to players and telling us about updates would also be a big way to get more people playing. Take feedback for new update ideas because I’m sure 80% of your player base have ideas you could filter through.

While I agree largely with the positive reviews I have already spent just under £20 and I’m now out of cash and its a real slow burner if you don’t have plenty of gems to play with. While you can play this for free it’ll take you about 6 months to progress to I am having played for around a month. There are ridiculous in house purchases at around £85- £99. I mean seriously guys? As much as I like the game its just sheer greed of developers to expect anyone to spend such ludicrous amounts of money on a smart phone game. There are come major balancing issues with regards to the in game currency and resources. I decided to try the VIP package so you can build two buildings simultaneously, however I am now at the point whereby I simply cannot generate enough resources to actually utilise this perk or advance without making a further large purchase. This makes me somewhat angry and at times when I’ve lost a fight and the cost of healing is so great that I’ve hade to wait about 48 hours to generate more income to cover the costs, only to get penalised by having my training levels deducted. This makes me want to delete the game! 3/5 proceed with caution!

I see a lot of reviews saying that the game is expensive in terms of gems and so forth, I’d just like to take this opportunity to express how although gems may seem expensive, a player isn’t forced to buy them. The company is a business that needs profit to function and the gems are part of that profit for people who have the money to spare. I’d just like to clarify this however as I am a fair bit into the game and I can honestly say buying tons of gems isn’t necessary to progress... it’s just an option if you’d like to progress quicker and have the money to spare - you aren’t put into a situation where you’re forced to pay to advance, it’s just quicker if you do so... For those then saying it’s addictive and will draw you in and you’ll need a lot of money. No, you just need patience and balance. At the end of the day I come from playing games like DOTA 2 competitively and you could sink hours into that game at a time. With this - the building time and resource gathering is balanced because you can have a little fun for ten/twenty minutes in gladiator battles via multiplayer or the campaign. And then whilst waiting for healing times you can put the phone down and balance it with your normal day. That is the idea of a healthy game experience in my eyes. Whilst I can see it could be expensive if you were impatient and wanted to progress as fast as possible; you’re not forced to do so - so by that logic you can either be patient and earn enough gems in time through the rewards system. Or you can spend a little WHEN YOU HAVE MONEY TO SPARE to get there a little faster, for me personally I believe with a game like this you want it to last longer because as aforementioned you can balance it with your lifestyle and play a little bit throughout your day.As a message for the devs, good job on the game, I mainly enjoy the single player aspect as a way to pass some time; but I’m looking forward to any updates.Like I said great stuff,Thanks,Alex
