I only got it 2 days ago and now my phone goes off every second. There’s a fair share of weirdos on there but u can call them anything and they won’t know cuz they don’t really speak good English. There’s probably more men than women and then it’s annoying because of the time difference you get messages at 4am. U do get the odd person who actually is nice and wants u to correct them when they speak but I’d say it’s rare. Just get this if u wanna talk to some random ppl they’re not all Japanese but a lot of them are. UPDATE - after months of going on it, on and off I made some really good long term friends I even met up with some when they came on exchange, I was people’s therapists and just helped them with random assignments. I speak to some of these people daily now. But I deleted the app because it was a lot of effort to reply and the chat logs got really weird.
My thoughts on the App after using it for a while

Hello,Let me clarify what I’m about to say is purely from my experience and my opinion from using the app for a while now. The good thing is there’s more positive things to say about the app in comparison to the negatives. The most obvious I will mention is that the app is successful and to my surprise I’ve managed to get in contact with more Japanese native speakers compared to any big Japanese style app out there like HelloTalk for example. There is one flaw or negative thing I would like to address and I hope the developers take this into consideration. Whilst I like the fact that the app gives you the opportunity to get free coins or purchase them. The biggest flaw with the app I’m facing is you cannot see who likes your profile unless you pay? That to me makes no sense. You’re telling me people can like my profile, but I have no way to respond to them or check out their profile? That seems stupid to me. That should not be a paid feature and everyone should be able to freely interact with each other with no monetary barriers. I hope they change this.
Good for maintaining what you learnt
kim loves app
This app is a great way to maintain the Japanese you learnt already and help others to learn English. This is because it encourages you to use Japanese you learnt on a daily basis. Many other apps show teach your a free words/grammar/phrases but you forgot them as you don’t use it often. Whereas on here you get to speak to people about different topics.
Not bad
Heelloooooooxlolx
This app isn’t bad but the only issue is that first of the time on the app is wrong for me, it’s annoying keep getting notified by people and I don’t feel the need to spend really money just to talk makes from across the world. I might as well save that money to actually got Japan and talk to people there. No I will not give this a 5 star, not even for coins but I’ll give it 3 because I’m quite enjoying it and see a lot of potential if the creators weren’t money hungry. :) I hope you take my opinion account, if I can’t use this app bc I don’t get more coins, people will delete, people don’t want to spend real money on these kinds of apps. I’m also a uni student I can’t afford that stuff.
