Amazing!

I don't normally write a lot of reviews but I just wanted to say this app is absolutely amazing . I downloaded the app when I found out was pregnant which was at the beginning of the year. During such a life changing time and the first month or two of pregnancy was extremely lonely. I was the first person in my friendship group to be pregnant and I was struggling hard with the 1st trimester. I post my worries and struggles and there were amazing women on the other side with fantastic advice and help. Also I've had a few issues with my hospital and it great to find out if these things were"normal" and what steps to take next. I realised quickly this app had been a lifeline. Also I'm excited to meet these lovely mamas-to-be when we finally have our babies in our arms.Thank you Peanut. You have no idea how much you have helped in a short amount of time!
Good idea, execution not great

App spams with notifications constantly, supposed to be a supportive network yet people on the app can be so judgemental in the communities over … nothing. Lots of mum drama (expected everywhere theres a community of mums to be fair) as differing opinions and ideas and lots of backhanded comments. Either the loveliest people you’ll ever meet or the nastiest and most judgemental parents. Also locations and mile ranges aren’t accurate- was getting people from distances miles and miles away when miles were only set to 7 miles away. Some communities are absolutely amazing with amazing people- lots of groups giving amazing advice and lovely things away- But a lot that weren’t so great. This isn’t a flaw of the app moreso just the general community using it 🤷🏻♀️ Mum’s can be either lovely or judgy - as they can be in person too. You’ll connect with a lot of people however you have to pay to see waves and who wants to interact with you without messaging which makes it very difficult to know who’s actually got similar interests to you without both waving at each other first - which may or may not happen depending upon personal decisions. If you want to personalise your account to involve more interests you also have to pay to expand those interests and it means its not as personalised as it could be meaning you could match with absolutely anyone.

Hey, thanks so much for your detailed feedback. We’ll pass this on to our Product Team who will be sure to consider it as they develop the app! 🥜
App is ok as long as you turn off notifications

Peanut’s concept is brilliant and you really benefit from word of mouth wisdom between mums as well as making some new local mum friends. The app’s notifications though are intrusive and misleading trying too hard to hook you back into the app. For example, when you’ve clicked on the notifications menu where the addictive red indicator sits showing you there’s a new notification the app won’t make the red dot disappear after you’ve seen your notification updates nooo… it stays there so that every time you open the app you check your notifications thinking you’ve got new ones when you haven’t. You have to click onto each and every notification for red dot to go away. As if that’s not enough they go further to try and keep you on the app. If you haven’t tapped on your notifications they will also force a notification preview onto your screen every single time you open the app which even appears if you left the app screen! The only way to stop this happening repeatedly is to tap onto that preview and read whatever it is that triggered the notification. It’s like they designed the app without understanding the purpose of notifications thinking they can use them as a marketing tool. So I suggest you mute the app if don’t want to end up deleting it out of frustration.
We’ve cleaned up a few bugs and made some subtle improvements. The kind you (hopefully) don’t notice — because everything just works.
