Even translated into English, SMT is a thoroughly engaging and often very politically zeitgeisty game. For me, storyline is usually an irritating and clichéd throwaway in games of this genre, but this is really considered and interesting, with well-developed characters and episodes I actually care to know about. The game itself, as others have noted, is wildly detailed and complex. It’s taken me just over a week of daily play to get my head around most of it, but that’s all been well signposted and enjoyable. Also, the player ratings for demons are hilarious - a huge bonus.

I’m a huge fan of the SMG and Persona games so wen I saw this I was excited, but it sadly eroded the more I played. First, the good: the graphics are amazing however, if you have it on high settings it drains battery. The gameplay is amazing too, it’s just exactly like Persona 5. The story is pretty decent for a mobile game, nothing too surprising or amazing happens though. Now for the bad: the gatcha rates are terrible and you get free gems so rarely that it’s impossible to ever get a 5 star demon. I also rolled my eyes wen I saw there is a ‘paid’ gems and a ‘free’ gems, not a good sign. The events are hardly exiting either and it just becomes monotonous doing the same thing over and over. As it’s just been released I can understand that it is evolving all the time and improving, but at the moment I can’t play it in its current state. Such a shame from a huge fan.
High hopes from a smt lover but
a satly pickle
Impossible to enjoy the game properly when every min you got tutorials thrown on your screen or other pointless information, you finish one bunch of tutorials that pop up by spamming them away just for more to pop up! You will have finished one tutorial on a new area of the game which is fair enough since first time going on there but then more pops up and when the instructions are done it kicks you back to game Home Screen it’s so annoying, after hours in the game they still popping up for stuff asif we don’t have common sense to know what to do anywayMayswel just turn the game into a movie since all I seem to be doing is watching and spamming away pointless dumb written instructions.
It’s just what I was looking for

This is an SMT title you can play on your phone. The sheer number of things you can do to pass the time caught me off-guard. The game constantly teaches you it’s mechanics and each and every of them give it more depth rather than making it confusing..that is, if you played any SMT titles before. The auto-battle system is not flawless, but gets the job done for the most part. Story-wise it’s basic, but wasn’t expecting much from a mobile title anyways. There are some connectivity issues which get annoying sometimes - hence the 4-stars - but I hope they get fixed.
