There is such a wide range of vocabulary on this app, however it is a bit weak on grammar so not the best for that. There are also a lot of conversation things on here, so it will tell you what to say and how to say it, and then it will rate you on your accent etc. and there is a lot of variety with these conversations. It’s a shame you can’t choose which topic you want to learn unless you get falou premium, but what you get for free is pretty good! I like how they make you say it as well, however, sometimes it downgrades you on how you speak even if you said it perfectly fine. Not many apps have the speaking feature so I think it is quite useful when it works because it also recognises mistakes. Overall it is very good for if you’re looking to extend your vocabulary - but keep in mind that it probably isn’t the best app for grammar.
Not the best for Korean

I'm an upper intermediate speaker of Korean and I wouldn't recommend this app for Korean if you are a beginner and you're serious about sounding natural. In "super essentials" lesson 1 its robo-voice pronounces something basic like 예 (yes) incorrectly ("ee-eh" instead of "ye"), teaches you that 여보세요 means hello and shows a picture of two people greeting each other in person when it should only be used when answering the phone, and 안녕 as "bye" when it can be used for both hello and bye. In this lesson, it also mixes formal and informal together e.g. 예 (yes) is formal, 아니 (no) is informal, 안녕 (hello/bye) is informal, 여보세요 (hello) is technically formal, but as mentioned its usage needs to be corrected/clarified. It may sound minor, but these things are important in understanding how the Korean language is structured. The essentials lessons need to be reviewed by a Korean person; they feel like they were generated by AI and the associated pictures are weird (a children's ballet lesson for "how"?). In an intermediate conversation lesson (job interview), on one of the sentences I had to speak so slowly just to pass it even though I was saying it correctly. The Korean here was much more natural though. I started off here and thought, "oh, this is pretty good!" but when I went to have a look at the essentials lessons mentioned above it was like I was in a different app. And, as others have suggested, the constant promo videos and pushes for you to buy premium are tiresome. I can see the app has potential, but for me I'll unfortunately be uninstalling it.
Much better structure. I use both popular apps

This is a great app, I love how it makes you speak the language which forces you to progress faster and build confidence. It’s good to have different ways of learning of course but they usually give you understanding just not enunciation. There are a couple of things that could be better. I cannot make long word streaks as the app doesn’t register what I’m saying, even though I said it correctly on multiple occasions. The app also doesn’t explain concepts. For example I’m learning Swedish and in the app the word sandwich has come up twice. Smörgås and macka. But these are kinda two different things. If if has a photo you could distinguish what it wants you to say. Another is för and till, they translate the same but have different meanings. It would be good if the app could tell you this. Also to have the sentence read out to you so you can hear the pronunciation. This could help with spelling too without revealing the answer visually. Food for thought, hopefully this helps. Apart from that it’s a BRILLIANT APP 100% recommend and as I said I use both popular apps to round out my learning

After completing a few lessons you hit a wall where it demands payment to continue. The language recognition isn’t great and will reward you for incorrect pronunciations and will register correct pronunciations as wrong. I also have concerns where this teaches you the wrong words for certain scenarios. For example it will ask you questions such as ‘translate Hello, Goodbye’ which in Italian there are a few words for, if you say a correct translation but it’s not the one the computer is looking for specifically it will register a wrong answer, and often the scenarios where that particular word is required doesn’t align with what the computer is looking for, which in the long term would mean it is teaching you wrong. I deleted this app as soon as I hit the paywall. There’s no quick way around learning a language, if you want fluency you have to immerse yourself in it, both through reading, listening & speaking. This app does a good thing with focusing on speaking but I have concerns this app doesn’t have the suitable tech to do this properly. Duolingo is far superior in my opinion, but don’t rely on any app to teach you a language, you have to put the work in beyond what the app puts you through.
