Great App for quick reads
Preriit
I often don’t get time to read through a lot of books and even if you have time you may not be able to read as many books as this app allows you to, quickly. Certainly it’s obvious that summarisation does lead some content loss but that’s fine. Plus the content is nicely presented as pictures. So it’s much easier to scroll through. Much better utilisation of time compared to wasting time on Instagram.Only reason I gave it 4 star is because of the high monthly cost. If they reduce it that will be great.
Has potential but the paywall ruins it
sals.zai
As someone who works on apps myself I completely understand why you have to charge your users. However, I do feel as though Imprint doesn’t even give you an opportunity to get a real flavour of the app before they ask you to pay. I think offering 2-3 *free* reads across topics you’ve selected gives your users a chance to get a feel for the app. Offering them a tangible way to see if it makes a difference for them. I believe I’ve downloaded the app previously so I wasn’t offered a free trial when I redownloaded. But if that isn’t a standard then that’s also disappointing. I appreciate the levels of effort that goes into the UX/UI as well as all the illustrations. I know for sure that costs a lot. But such a good resource becomes incredibly inaccessible when you limit its functionality till people pay. You gotta try before you buy so people feel like £70 a year is worth it.
Repeats lectures
Danielle Jorge
I did it for one year, learned a lot and decided to renew. I was offered a good discount so I did. On the second year now I am noticing several chapters and lectures are reunited as a "New course". It means that I may have to be reading all over I already dedicated a good amount of time. When I finish the course it keeps appearing in my home for me to "continue" as if I haven't read the last chapter of the lecture or course. It have been really good and everything, but I don't know. I would do a third year, since I'll be reading everything I already did. It's a good way to keep yourself from scrolling, no doubt. However, after a certain time, I feel like I have learned everything from here.UPDATE:I am now reading "the four agreements" for the third time. The two first times this book was inserted into different course. And now I just went into explore courses and it shows as if I have never read it...
