I got this app after seeing so many ads for it. I usually use flo and have been a loyal flo premium customer for 2 years now, however lately, flo has been lacking something that i couldn’t put my finger on. That was until i downloaded stardust. This app is beautiful, the design is perfect (in my opinion), the amount of different things you can learn about your personal cycle are things that other menstrual cycle tracker apps don’t give you. The specific features i love so far are the feature where it tells you your optimum energy times for the day and when to take things a bit easier, and i also love the feature that tells you what phase of your menstrual cycle you ate currently in and what to expect. This app feels so much more personal and tailored towards helping women live easier during their cycle vs the other apps which all seem very clinical and generalised. Very well done to the creators of this app and all who have made it possible.

SELLING DATA

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP Originally, I downloaded this app after seeing them promise on their social media that they would not share data (this was before Roe v Wade was officially overturned, but when people were very worried about what was coming) I also saw an article talking about the encryption they were using, to ensure that, after Roe v Wade, the data would not be available to sell. However, I have found out today from various articles that this is a lie, their terms of service has always stated that they can and will sell data, and the intended encryption (which is supposed to come out in an update in the next couple days) is nowhere near secure enough to be fit for purpose. In the comments of various TikTok’s on their page people have asked if they have been checked by a third party security company, to which they reply “we are happy to be” suggesting that they have not been to this point. The videos and posts saying they will not sell data under any circumstances have not been edited, taken down, or given clarification (as even if they don’t want to, under certain laws they have a legal obligation to hand over data if their user is under investigation for having an abortion) which to me suggests a wilful ignorance of the danger they are putting their users in, and the betrayal of their trust, and b) a complete lack of care for their users, many of which have downloaded this app in the past few days because of the promises made, and just a desire to make money off subscriptions. Great and the start now feel it’s missing so much

I used another app for a very long time before getting Stardust due to a video I saw about the creators talking about an app for women by women comparing other period apps that are made by men. I loved that I could connect with my friends and it showed you what part of the lunar cycle your period falls on and what that means to you as well as your friends. I also loved the extensive list of symptoms and emotions you could tick. however as time progressed a lot of it just feels very gimmicky and generalised (a lot of of it is behind a paywall) instead of focusing on all of the data you input and becoming specialised it never defences the symptoms you input - I have no idea where that data goes - and that stops me from wanting to input it in. other apps that I used to use you were able to find a document of all the symptoms over the course of the month or the year and where that falls in your cycle, which was really helpful for me to look at a glance, most of this app focuses around telling you that this month you’re going to find your lipgloss rather than focusing on symptoms you’ve already input or telling you your statistics or what to expect. My partner also found this because their partner feature just tells you to write a message to them which I could obviously just do in person rather than giving them hints or prompts on what’s upcoming and a look into the woman’s cycle like my previous app did. For now until it improves I’m moving back to old app.this is after being on it for around two years so it did last me and the predictions for period were closer than other apps but it’s just missing features that I feel is more apt to my life.

I love this app! I’ve never had a period app be so accurate before when it comes to the phases of my cycle and the daily insight into how I might be feeling! It makes me feel so much better now that I understand what my hormones are doing more and the things that they impact in my life. I feel better about my bad days because the app tells me when they’re coming and how to deal with them. Who knew that all I needed was a little word of encouragement telling me that it was okay to slow down and would do me good to let the feelings pass over me rather than to feel guilty for them. My only complaint is that sometimes the app doesn’t load when I re-open it, or open it from a notification, so I have to clear it from my used apps and open it fresh quite often. However this is definitely just a bug/glitch and is completely tolerable when it’s such an incredible app! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Just a few minor updates and intergalactic tune-ups. If Stardust is helping you decode the mysteries of your cycle, leave us a rating and review—we love compliments.
