Frictionless journalling, clean UI, good organisation features
Chris_adsghj
The other journalling app I currently use was feeling bloated with features I don’t use, so I gave Everlog a go. Multiple journals and tags have been useful organising my thoughts but the real standout feature has been the ability for me to comment on my prior entries and have those comments show on both the current day and alongside the original entry. The only thing stopping me from fully switching my journalling to Everlog is an “On this day” feature that shows all entries on that day from over the years. Without this I’m unlikely to ever read entries older than a month again, with this feature I know what I write is never more than a year from being seen again. It would also wonderfully complement the comment feature, being able to add a comment with a years (or more) perspective on what I previously wrote.
Everything that you need

This is a great app. I was using DayOne but got fed up with the additional bloat and AI features. Also that all my information is on their servers. Sync to iCloud feels better to me. Two issues. 1. If I make a journal entry without text e.g. I just share a photo to the app, it does not seem possible to add text later2. I dont find it easy to navigate between journal entries. I would like to see one entry in the main window and be able to step forward and backwards.Overall, for less than the cost of Day One for a year, I have a perpetual licence for an app that does everything I want. Kudos!
ITS RLY GOOD AND CUTE

Best journal logging kinda app. Literally I tested sm apps but this ones aesthetic and it’s not a pay to get app!! Like idk how to explain it but it’s rly nice and ur logs are displayed chronological and u get kinda like a thumbnail to remember what u wrote for each log (you have to get the app to know what i mean!). U can change the colours of the app and the format of the text. U CAN INSERT PICTURES, seriously none of the other apps let u do that, this ones literally the best. Btw im using this to track habits and stuff like that every day, so if u wanna do that or similar, and want it to look pretty and organised GET THIS APP!! c:
Superb Journal and diary

Enables entries to be created to a calendar. Setting up each entry to a preset template or your own. Sensible set of writing tools common today plus speech to text, that I love as a lazy typist. It certainly helping me keep better records to date. And feels sustainable. Two areas that I have noted that would improve my enjoyment of the app. The first is that photos and files can be added, but sit at the top of the entry. I’d prefer them to be next to the relevant section of text. Second is being able to easily interact with my normal calendar schedule - in my case Apple calendar . From what I can tell there is a hyperlink style option or a copy and paste. Minor but would be a nice feature to keep my schedule and journal in one place.
- iCloud Sync on upgrade. Turn on syncing across your devices right after you upgrade
- Show in Context. Jump from a search result straight to the entry where it sits in your timeline
- Photo date and location. New photos and videos can set your entry's date and location. Choose Always, Never, or Ask each time
- Fixed all-day entries showing a time on some winter dates
- Fixed rare crashes on launch, while typing, and when opening entries in new windows
- Various bug fixes and improvements
