The quickest way to see when to go outside.
This beautifully crafted app and widget bundle shows forecasted clouds, rain, snow, wind, auroras, rainbows, and other weather phenomena in a comprehensive timeline that's easy to understand at a glance.
Innovative features include:
• Extreme weather warnings are shown directly on the timeline, so you can see exactly when the danger is expected — including thunderstorms, fires, hurricanes, flooding, and landslides.
• Inline minute-by-minute precipitation forecasts show the next-hour conditions derived from radar stations.
• Air quality forecasts combine local sensor readings to provide health guidance.
• Our proprietary algorithm even predicts the chance of rainbows!
Use the interactive map to request forecasts for any location in the world — including mountains, trails, lakes, and literally anywhere you place a marker.
We take privacy seriously with NO ads, NO tracking, and NO third-party analytics. Weather Strip only stores location data on your local device, and it always uses approximate locations when requesting weather forecasts.
Weather Strip also respects your data plan, with optional background app refresh that automatically learns your habits, and the ability to view your recent forecasts even when your connection drops.
Weather Strip is completely free to try for two weeks. After that, a minimal subscription price helps us keep the service running. (Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.)
Not all features are available in all locations. Forecasts are issued by Foreca and Apple Weather globally and by the U.S. National Weather Service (NOAA NWS) in the United States.
Designed by data visualization researcher Robin Stewart to help everyone enjoy the outdoors.
This app is brilliant. Firstly, it’s relatively accurate, which not all weather apps are. Secondly, the data presentation is ingenious. You can take in multiple aspects of the current and future climate simultaneously and at a glance. It’s great if you have solar panels because cloud cover is really easy to gauge from it, so you can plan your usage and what to do with charging batteries and cars and stuff.Absolutely worth the money. It could be improved further if it also had and Apple Watch app. Just sayin’ ;)
Love this for solar energy prediction, and the widget is especially useful.

As a solar panel user I need to know if it’s going to be cloudy tomorrow, so I can charge my batteries overnight and save money. This app very clearly shows the cloud cover for tomorrow so it makes it easy to assess how much to charge my batteries. It’s also very useful that this app has a widget which can show at a glance what’s coming. Very impressed.
Brilliant!

Weather data is fairly standard across most apps - what sets this app apart is the way the data is displayed. All data points are immediately visible and easily understood with no additional ‘clicking’.

I’d like to thank the developer Matt, this app is triumph in design thinking and had is elegantly programmed at less than 10mb. His commitment to little bloat and simple design principles. Why a large company hasn’t integrated this view is beyond me.
