Have been using Manta for quite a while now and can firmly say that Manta is the best comic app out there. Yes, it doesn’t have as many comics/webtoons as Webtoon themselves or other apps like Mangatoon, Tapas or Webcomics. But unlike those apps I mentioned, Manta has a monthly subscription which unlocks all the comics right off the bat. Webtoon has a coin system and a daily pass function, meaning for certain “completed” webtoons you either get to read one chapter a day or you have to pay per chapter (5-7coins). Which ends up adding up and you spend more than what Mantas monthly subscription is in a month. The other apps like Tapas, Managatoon and Webcomics all do similar things, you have to buy gems or different currencies of sort and these add up over time making it just not worth paying. The only time I can excuse this is when the webtoon/comic is solely on that one app and nowhere else to be seen, but even then I’m sure people will find a way to view it elsewhere. Overall, I just want to say that Mantas monthly subscription is truly the best way to do things. It not only helps them pay for the licensing of the comics but also provides a reasonably priced service to consumers like us. 5/5 ⭐️

The artwork is gorgeous, the detail on surroundings, clothing, accessories breathtaking. 4 suggestions: 1) there’s always overbearing characters on one side, and complete ninnies on the other. This is ok or there wouldn’t be a plot but experiment with other ways too; 2) make the unlimited deal something we can buy with or without subscription, you’ll get a lot more customers (us who don’t want another monthly bill can still buy it at any other time); 3) after using a pass to open a new chapter, it should stay open, and not for a limited time only, we earned it; 4) add a Comments’ section on each chapter, it helps build up a community and increase traffic. Thanks for fixing the video watching issue! Last thing: I just realised! You can’t finish a story unless you go Unlimited (££) despite them being promoted as Free Pass. Now tell us, what’s the point of starting a read whose conclusion you’ll never know?

Obsessed with this app but

I’ve been obsessed with this app since high school and on and off got the subscription and had reading crazes, I’ve recently got back into it again only to find the half of the stories I can’t read with just a subscription but have to also buy loads of gems, even I got the premium which gives me some gems, but not enough to get through even half of a single story, to keep topping them up whenever I want to :((((( which ends up costing loads of money that I don’t have when I just want to sit and read comics, this was honestly the best app ever so please 🥹🥹🥹 even if they made a premium subscription that was like £10 a month and offered unlimited everything I would be fine with that as well,

I’ve just cancelled my subscription after 3 years of enjoying the app. It used to be the case that with the premium you could read most of the comics. There would be 3-5 stories a day worth following with chapter updates. Now it feels like everything is locked behind even more money and gems. I have a few stories that I still follow and the quality of those is great but they have dwindled to one new chapter every other day and the value of the subscription has just plummeted. It’s not like the comics you buy with gems are cheap either. I was considering unlocking a story but with the predatory way they price the gem packs, it would have ended up costing nearly £80. You can’t directly unlock a story, and there’s no pack which matches the value you need to unlock so you have to buy two packs which leaves you with not enough gems to unlock a second one fully but just enough to hook you - it’s a blatant and obvious way to trap consumers in a spending cycle that games often employ in their micro transaction shops. I would rather they upped the cost of the subscription than feel like they’re trying to fleece me for more at any opportunity.
