This is a really cool idea and the app functions well, however it doesn’t include shadows cast by mountains which is a shame. I’m sure it must be possible using topographical maps. If you’re using it out of the mountains it’s great.
Developer Response
Hi, thank you for your feedback! We've improved Shadowmap in many ways since you wrote this review – one update is that we added cascaded shadow maps, which should drastically improve the shadow visualisation of mountains. We'd be happy to hear your thoughts about your experience now!

Particularly helpful when looking at flats / houses if you want to check how the sun will be in relation to the property.

It’s too expensive to be honest. Bring the price down a bit to make it realistic and accessible to more people. It’s an interesting app but you must be made to pay £20 just for curiosity sake.
Developer Response
Hi James! We're sorry that our pricing didn't meet your expectations. Please be aware that we offer all features to be tested for free in our All Access Area, as we don't anyone to pay for a service they don't want or need. We hope to provide a better service for you in the future!
- Major Update: New 3D Buildings across Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland for sharper sun and shadow simulation
- Fixed a visual bug for iOS 27 users on the Apple sign in screen
